He's not just playing around with it.  He apparently just got fed up with being publicly ridiculed by multiple respondents for his half-based nutcase idea.  While it's not possible to delete an entire thread, he has managed to effectively do just that.  I'd say it worked out just the way he wanted it to... he knows what he's doing.

As for him replying to it when no one can see, yeah I can't figure that one out either.  Maybe he'll make the thread visible again after he gets his mommy to help him craft clever comebacks to each post on the thread.

Holy crap, that's funny...I guess I missed something...I didn't know he had mommy issues

Update: I didn't think his idea was that bad, if he's a pro it would help keep people clear of him working or maybe just annoying him.  Although the stickers/printings were a bit much that I would agree on...

Yeah, I noticed that.  So that's an option that anyone can select?  I figured he just went crying to a moderator and they locked it down for him so he wouldn't continue to get his little feelings hurt.

DustMan, FYI, this discussion was not related to you directly...
It was at first about capabilities in the system here, then migrated to a current example of those capes.
As I noted to you earlier, to each his own.
However, as it turns out I was incorrect, once you receive replies to a thread you can no longer delete it even if you wanted too.  About the only thing you can do is have the mods close it at that point, I imagine they could even delete it too.

Yeah DustMan, the last several posts had nothing to do with you.  They were in reference to another thread where someone does very much have something to hide.  Apparently.  Sorry about the confusion; we got off topic a bit.  

I personally liked  RHP's reply about he hornet's nest.  Good one!

In the past few years there have been several instances of this.
It may seem like fun, but it's actually pure and simple ignorance.
I don't condone using motorized machines to mow down innocent insects.
Yes, even those that can both sting and bite you.

Well, while I'm inclined to agree with you as we all should try to live in harmony with all earth's inhabitants to the max reasonable extent possible, there are some limits.
I'm not gonna be able to allow a polar bear to camp out in my backyard as sooner or later one of us is gonna end up dead and I assure you it wont be me.
Now, I tend to agree that the whole motorized thing is a bit ridiculous, when a nice can of Raid will do.  However, the YouTube culture these days has folks doing all kinds of stupid things to get noticed, make likes, and go viral...so one should not be too surprised by such shenanigans.
Lastly, I have no love loss for Yellow Jackets.  This past summer I had a cousin get stung all over by several hundred stings, it was ugly.  Thank God he was not allergic, but he still had to make a trip to the ER because of it.  Those sucker are particularly vicious and I morn the loss for none, regardless of how they met their demise.  

Think of terrorists who would drive an automobile into a crowd of innocent people on a bicycle path...
Being an ethical bowhunter, we learned what was right and what was wrong. Like poachers.

That's all I can say... Not impressed.
