Hey.

I wonder if there is a way to switch to 2.4GHz while being connected via OTG. My app always says 2.4GHz, but as soon as the drone connects, it switches to 4.8GHz. And when I try to change it, I only get into a menu about HD transmission where I don't have any options for the bandwidth or channels.

Any idea?

Cheers

Afaik: You have to change to 2.4 wifi connected. During restart you have to connect the OTG, then it stays in 5.8

But doesn't that mean it uses 5.8 then? Because today it kept swapping between 2.4 and 5.8 while in OTG mode all the time which made flying impossible today.

Please use wifi connection instead of OTG and change to 2.4 G channel. It will be more stable. Thanks for your understanding.

Actually that's not true. Sorry to say. Using OTG allows me to use the drone. Using OTG I only sometimes have switches between 2.4 and 5.8GHz. But using WIFI only, I have it all the time, always and/or the video is lagging or cracked.

Sorry, I wrote that the confusing way:
RC to phone in 2.4, switch to 5.8, deconnect and use OTG, than the wifi from RC to Phone will not change again (stays in 5.8, unused)
Which gives you the 2.4 for the Drone

Anyway, under FCC rules I have my doubts that 2.4 is a real advantage.
Under CE it really depends on your area.
In Town I assume the interferences are much higher as in 5.8

Thats what I may have experienced in Singapore
Usually, if 5.8 disconnected, Spark changes relatively quick to 2.4, so I get my bird controlled back.
In Singapore it was a trying and a couple of times a waiting, till the bird used auto RTH and the connection got re-established in 5.8
Only b/c DJI set the drones in a FCC country to CE standards, methinks!

So what you're saying is that the 2.4 and 5.8 are always opposing to eachother? I thought they are independent and can both be 2.4 and both 5.8. Interesting. Thanks. ... if only I could stop the spark from auto-changing the channels...

Yes!
If bird to Rc is 5.8, RC to device is 2.4
And vice versa.
But why the RC isnt changing back to 5.8 for the bird, in case of OTG use, who knows?
