Here's a rough little tutorial on how I've been making my Tiny Planets without Litchi. MS ICE is a free download. Link provided in the comments of the video. Enjoy.

Tried it, works great, thanks!
Question for you (or anyone else): regarding the photoshop corrections - i doubt I want to subscribe to photoshop CC for that. Anybody got some tutorial on how to perform these corrections in other software (GIMP, Corel Aftershot)? Are these fixes possible in the lighter apps of Photoshop (Photoshop Express for Android, Photoshop Elements)?

I've done corrections in Photoshop Elements before. It works but just a little more limited on options from the full version of Photoshop. It looks like GIMP is a free version that I need to try out and see if it's decent. The price is right thought. FREE

Great tutorial!  Thanks for sharing.
I wanted to try it with some panoramas that I had already taken (weathers not special here right now!), it even comes out great with just the 180 degree panos.
Only half a tiny planet, but still cool!

Hopefully the link at least works?

I really dont understand this forum, try to embed a photo using the inbuilt photo options and it doesn't show anything.
Then try to edit the post to fix it and get a "2 minutes has passed, you cannot edit" message?

Yeah, definitely strange. Plus, I think you gain abilities the more you post and level up. I guess it's a way to make people post more then interact.

Yes, I need to try more options with the 180 panos. Maybe it can speed up the process and take fewer pictures this way. It's been windy and rainy here in Minnesota for a week. I'm excited to get back out there and experiment some more.

I know Photoshop can do it too? Do you have that? You can also run Windows on a Mac but you'd need Bootcamp or Parallels and that just adds more software and licenses to the mix.

I absolutely LOVE my monitor. I had been using an old POS for years and when I finally upgraded it was like an eye-gasm. It's an LG 29" 21:9 Ultrawide.

Yup got the 29" too, remembering the first time I turned it on and wow! The workflow with multiple apps is a breeze side by each.
If weather permits I'll try to tiny planet on the weekend and use your method. Thanks again for this great tutorial.

Thanks, Can't wait to give that a shot.

I'm working on a new tutorial. As of 10/31 with the new update it's VERY easy. Just use the sphere/pano feature and it will collect 46 pictures to make the "planet". Then just toss those 46 photos in MS ICE and start tweaking it. The new update is a huge time saver.

TBoyAZ, because DJI updated their software and added the Sphere Pano button the whole capture process is dramatically streamlined. Check out my new tutorial if you're interested in making these Tiny Planet pictures.

You can skip the Photoshop step and only use ICE to fill the corners. At the "crop" step you can use the "Image Completion" option and it will fill your empty corners ;)
