I am VERY interested in purchasing the phantom for myself and my partner (one for each of us), however we both have the iPhone 8. I researched that many folks have issues operating their drone when they upgrade to iOS 11.0.3 and that the drones are not even compatible with the iPhone 8 or X. I am super bummed because I did a lot of research and finally selected the Phantom SE as the best option for us.

  

  

Does anyone know if DJI is working on this issues? Or is there a way around this?

  

  

I guess I could buy and older iphone but do I need to have cell phone service to operate it and will this be an issue every time there is a softeware upgrade?

I haven't had any problems with the latest ios.  iphone7.

I have IOS 11.0.3 on my iPhone 8 and my iPad Air 2
I have flown with DJI Go 4 and Litchi on both devices, all worked fine. (P4P)

Unfortunately DJI "help" people are not always a reliable source of information

Oh great! Thank you all for the feedback! I was getting upset because I really want to get the Phantom for my partner for Christmas (but mainly for myself too :-))

I do hear some of the users reflected the connection issue of iOS 11. But our engineers are talking to Apple to work on it. And Phantom 3 SE is connecting the app via WiFi, it won't have the cable connecting issue, so no worries.

I have an iPhone X and phantom pro and it will not connect at all. It connects fine to my iPad. iOS 11.1 and the latest phantom firmware and still nothing.

Yes I am having the same problem with a phantom 3 pro and an iPhone 6+ on iOS11.1

I have the same problem.  Is this on a phantom 3 or 4 pro.   Suppose it doesn't really matter it is not working.

It's a phantom 4 pro

I just upgraded to an iPhone 8 iOS version 11.1.1. Tried flying my Mavic Pro today and will not connect. Has anyone found a fix?

I have an iphone 8+ and P3P and new ios software update and mine will not work either and a real pain, I am having to resort to my old Tesco Hudl but that freezes when i go to record.

When is this going to be sorted does anyone know as yet???

If anyone knows if and when a cure please let me know.

Man I know it is all to do with the iOS 11.1 like makes me mad.  I have been waiting to fly for three weeks while DJI has done absolutely ****.

I am having same issue with 8+   and P3P and any software from dji isn't working .....just downloaded ios 11.2 will see if that works - have not flown for  4 weeks now.....

Same issue as all of you. iPhone 8+, Phantom 3 Pro. Even called DJI support and they were absolutely 0 help. I have it on my to-do list to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau this week. I'm sitting on a $1,400 paperweight. Extremely frustrated...

Try reloading the app.  Newest version supposedly fixes the compatibility issues with iPhone x.  Version 4.1.22

Try using another lightning plug.  It worked for me.
