It will undoubtedly be asked more often. But despite my search on this forum, I did not find the answer.

What is the maximum allowed wind speed for the P3SE (or P3S)?

There's no such thing.
The max you can fly in depends on what you intend doing and how far you want to fly.
The Phantom can easily fly in 20 mph winds  but can't go fast against a headwind that strong.
Flying upwind is fine because it's an easy flight back.
Flying downwind in a strong wind is asking for trouble because it means a struggle against a headwind coming home.

My rule of thumb is, subtract 10 mph from the top speed of your drone. ie. I my drones top speed is 35 mph, my top wind speed I will fly in is 25 mph. This will give me a 10 mph forward speed if I fly into the wind. If I have to fly down wind to obtain my footage/shot I will only use 25% of my battery to do what I want to do and allowing me 75% battery to return home and land.

You can refer to page 38 of the manual. Please fly carefully when there is a wind, and avoid strong wind environment. P3SE wind speed.png

I learned my lesson the hard way.   Wind speeds of 25 mph around ground level do not equate (at least where I live) to 25 mph 100 feet up.  I crashed a couple months ago when the wind blew my quadcopter about 85 feet off course during RTH and I took control but was unable to fly out of it.   Right into a tree which I thought I was safely far enough away from.

I'll measure surface wind speeds at about 7-10kts, and then when I get up to 400ft, I get "high wind warnings".  That being said, I think its difficult to say what the "maximum" wind speed is, because the P4P can handle 20kt winds, and if you add that to forward speed of 35kts, then you're looking at 55kts of total force against the P4P.  Thats like sticking your head out the car window at 55mph which to me seems like a lot of pressure that this amazing device can handle

Not quite.
Your Phantom cannot fly at 35 kts against a 20 kt headwind.
It can make 35 kts airspeed (in still air) but against a 20 kt headwind, it's speed over the ground would be closer to 15 kts which would be exerting the same forces as flying at 35 kts in still air.

22 mph is the max by DJI. But I'd say 15 mph is pushing it. Rule of thumb: If it is windy enough to blow your car door shut, fly another day.

Thank you for correcting my math.  I was thinking more of wind on my stern than headwind.  This is why I don't fly for Delta Airlines.  -But then again it could also be why my friends who do fly for Delta Airlines tell me that Delta stands for:
D oesn't
E ver
L eave
T erminal
A s scheduled

I would say that's any airline. Flying in overly windy conditions can be fun (you can hit some impressive top speeds), but many a bird never made it home doing so. Remember your return trip home and plan it accordingly so the wind is at your back.
