I had only used my 13 month-old Osmo Raw 5 short times since I bought it. Yesterday, I accidentally took out the SSD while it was still powered-on. Next time I tried to use it, it wouldn't power on. It's completely dead. No light, no beeps. Nothing. It's definitly NOT the battery - have tried other fully-charged batteries.
Has anyone else taken the SSD out while the camera was powered-on, and did it kill your camera? Or is it just a coincidence that my camera died when it did?

Also, can someone tell me if the osmo handle will power-on even if no camera is attached? Mine doesn't, and I'd like to know if it is supposed to powereon without a lens attached as that would indicate my problem is with my handle not the X5R unit. I hope it's the handle, as they are relatively cheap.

The handle can be turned on without camera.
Have you tried to wipe the copper sheet inside the battery compartment with 95% alcohol and cotton swab? Let the alcohol air dry.
If it does not work, wipe the battery contact with alcohol and cotton swab.
