Hi all,

Back at the start of September, a new Sphere Mode was announced for the Spark but all seems to have gone pretty quiet.

Has anyone heard of an expected release date yet? I know you can use third party apps but I'd rather use the DJI official version.

I'm confused!  You have already announced and released the .0700 firmware a few hours ago that has this feature available in it.

dji deleted a report on a new  firmware ,also on facebook.

Yes, it looks like they pulled it from this forum, Facebook, and Twitter.  I've started a new thread about it.

It is there in the photo settings.  It is still dark outside here for at least another hour so I haven't actually tested it.

Weird. I can't access the update at all now so I guess I'll have to wait.

It would be good if you can update following your testing.

Awesome, cant wait to update and try the new mode. I think there will be some awesome images over the next week or so. Providing it works.

That would be a great addition!

Please note that  some modules’ version of 01.00.0700 was incompatible with the server after it was released, so this firmware version has been removed from the server and the new firmware v 01.00.0701 has been released.
The firmware v01.00.0701 shares the same features as the firmware v01.00.0700. We are sorry for any inconvenience incurred. Please inform us if you still have doubt about it.

Resolved. Interesting to know. I did the update via the DJI GO 4 App. According to the firmware version in setting it got updated but still sphere mode was missing.  Downloaded DJI Assistant 2 app, connected my spark via micro usb cable same updated version appeared. Reinstalled the firmware by pressing Refresh, now I have the sphere function

Is there another way to get the Spark’s sphere mode to show up? I’ve updated via the DJI GO 4 app on iOS and the Spark has v701 firmware, and I’ve rebooted a couple of times, but am not seeing the sphere mode.

I having the same problem with missing Sphere mode pano, please help.
I have updated initially without using DJI Assistant 2, only Dynamic Home Point appeared, second try with DJI Assistant 2 but again Sphere Pano still missing,

It seems that your APP has not been upgraded to the latest version. The Sphere mode requires the APP updated to v4.1.14 and later. Please check the Release Note here: https://forum.dji.com/thread-117987-1-1.html

u need newer version of app. U wont get it from oficial playstore - u can find it at spk mirror. in google store it will appear later  depend of your contry. We dont have still 4.1.14 in poland - i have it from https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_ ... pe=apk&s=dji+go

Now I remember why I haven’t turned this thing on in two months... another huge fail DJI. Every time a user wants to play with this equipment I takes hours of video and forum reading to execute a simple firmware update .... #sparkforsale

If you have the newest software on your spark and the sphere mode isnt there you have to reinstall dji go 4 on your device.

Everytime I check, there is "no latest version"

I *finally* got the Sphere option. I reinstalled the firmware via the DJI Assistant 2 app, and that didn't reveal it, so then I deleted and reinstalled the DJI GO 4 iOS app, and *then* it showed up!

What is the model of your mobile device? Can you provide a screenshot about this situation? DJI Assistant 2 is a software used in PC for upgrading firmware and exporting data. Here is the link for download it: http://www.dji.com/spark/info#downloads.

i don’t have sphere option.. plus the app wont allow me to switch from photo-video and vice versa while flying.. i needed to land my spark to switch.. i already restarted drone, rc and app.. still the same.. even ensured im all updated, and i actually am fully updated..

im on iphone ios 11.3 and see picture for drone, rc and app versions..

What is happening in case you try the buttons on the RC for the change?

Aside that I suggest you open a own topic about it! Will get you more answers, methinks

Did you try to reinstall the app or change a mobile device? Please try to insert the SD card again and format it. Thanks for your support.

I can see the sphere now.. what I did was below..

- reinstall app from iPhone.. (delete, shutdown phone, power-on, re-installed app)
- connected drone to pc and ran the DJI assistant.. refreshed firmware..
- shutdown drone and restart
- connected phone to remote via wifi.. ran app and powered-on drone
- tested and finally got Sphere now..
