On my college campus, students have access to large printers. I wanted to know what size in inches would be the highest size of a photo I can print without the picture looking pixelated or distorted. I've tried googling this, but I'm a little confused by it.
To my understanding the Mavic Pro has ~12 MP camera and that would be able to have a picture be about 11"x14"


I was hoping for like a huge poster size maybe 3x4 feet or something. So if anyone can help that would be great.

Depends on the image that you have shot.
My first DSLR was only 6mp and I got that up to A2 fine. Read some tutorials about enlarging photos for print in photoshop.

For a large poster you could fly closer to the subject, take several separate photos in a grid pattern, and then stitch them all together.

1.  Shoot in Raw to keep maximum file size, save off as tiff post processing.
I just had a 48x36 image printed on canvas and it is fantastic--using it on my model railroad as a scene backdrop.  

Here is the printed mounted and in place.  This was taken with my mavic and printed on canvas 48 inches long by 36 inches high.  The detail is excellent.

How do you get the raw files on a Mavic?

Under settings you can choose Jpeg + Raw.  The raw format is a  DNG file extension

The Mavic photo aspect ratio is 4:3 which is nearly a square. You might want to change it to something like a 16:9 photo which is a bit more rectangular.
