I have not been able to fly to locations that I routinely had been before the update.  I've connected wifi auto, wifi trying both bands, and OTG,  same result.  I can't find any limitations set in the software.  In all directions shorter range, in some flights 50% less. Anyone else have this issue?

When you fly your drone, you can choose the best channel from the  image transmission settings. Please fly your spark when most of the channels are green.

Yes, I also have this range issues, my previous firmware version work fine with good range but this latest firmware is useless.I will roll back to the previous firmware.

Its your otg cable. It limits the distance. Fly with wifi. Otg doesnt make sense anymore

tested all with 2.4G, 5G, OTG.....all the same short range!!!

I make an opposite observation... I got longer ranges with .0701 than I had with .0600

Did you check the information mentioned in 2#?  What message you got from your app? Please tell me the model of  your phone.

The messages are the same as when you lose the signal and return to home.  It's as if I've lost my transmitter antennas.  I do have a Fitbit but learned long ago to remove it, turn off Bluetooth, and make sure anyone with me has it off too.

every next update makes range shorten - finaly spark will become selfie dron with range of 5 m . I did test in park near home befiore update - with low signal , using smartphone not controler i achived 98m in straight line. I need to test it today/tomorow after i updated it in same location. If i get same issue with range i will try downgrade to prev version cus 360 pano i think also doesnt work like expected

I'll add that I have an iPhone 7 Plus.  Going to do another test flight in about an hour, then downgrade the firmware are repeat the same path and see if there is a difference.

But I had that in mind, to check on the yesterday flown distances.

What I think, I saw, scanning this topic:

FCC Pilots complaining about less range, CE Pilots are getting more.
How about, we focusing on to negate or affirm this first sight?

As soon, as I have the opportunity, I will check on this in FCC area and report back

By manual channel selection, I have gained a little more range in .701.  Still not what I was reaching in .600 with the remote controller.   The weather has not been ideal so I'm hoping to try it all again this afternoon when the low clouds burn off.  Thanks Elektra

I flew with .701, go 4 - 4.1.10, otg, and reached the before with .600 flown distances.
Are you flying with the "latest version" Go 4?

iOS 4.1.15.  I’ll let you know how I he next tests go.  Need the drizzle to burn off.
