This is very true. When I get a wind warning, I usually start heading back to where I took off, staying as close to ground as possible but avoiding trees and power lines. Thanks for the help.

In this case, instituting RTH probably wouldn't be a good idea. Particularly, if your RTH height, would only elevate your current height, & possibly putting your drone in harms way with the gusting wind.
Yes, very wise to bring her in, and hold off for a better calm day to fly.
Do you ever check your flight LOG just to see what's going on, in those flights?
