Did you know that, from time to time, GPS testing is performed and can result in interferences ?

These tests are planned ahead, and you can check the FAA web site for notices.

Go to https://pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/PilotWeb/
expand the "ARTCC Notices, TFRs and Special Notice Page"
Select your area and click on  "View GPS Notam"
( make sure you ask for the ICAO format ... it is easier to read )

Well, basically the military are doing some tests, including GPS jamming, causing GPS to report the wrong position or no position at all ... It can be strong enough to force ground stop at airport, as well as forcing pilot to not use GPS based approaches.

The FAA, is warning of the possible disturbances via NOTAMS, but the NOTAMs do not describe the exact inaccuracies' ,,, I guess the militaries do not want to share the exact testing they are doing ,,,,
