Today the p4p + allowed to find a dog lost and blocked in the mountains, not easy to the wide angle to see it but may be that with our future matrix 210 and its thermal camera will facilitate us life

I would hope that this demonstrates the usefulness of drones, rather than the
constant reports of how bad drones are,  well done

This is a program that might interest you, I have done some work and training using this program it’s excellent.

The contact is DroneSar an Irish company have developed the program it’s rather expensive dji have also had a hand in the development its relatively new but has been rolled to a few SAR operations here and internationally.

A little over a year ago I went to do some SAR training using drones, it was a three day course we spent 1 day using this software, we found it incredibly good with amazing accuracy the program was incredible, however this program comes with an extensive training package software and field training the program as it stands now is quite expensive and beyond the reach of the group I belong to.
The company at the time had been working closely with dji in the development of their software, I’m not sure but my thinking at the time was that they were looking for dji to purchase or give their backing for their program, at this point in time I’m not sure how or if these negotiations or development is still going on, Website below.

Very true. Unfortunately due to the actions of the irresponsible few the responsible pilots take the hit.

Yep hear you loud & clear, I have permission to spot bush fires here with my phantoms from the brigade captain and as I am a bush fire brigade volunteer (for over 5 years) I can be up and reporting in minutes, it often takes over 20 to 45 minutes or more for spotter air craft to turn up if they are not busy in another part of the district, even 5 minutes is along time where bush fires are concerned

Yes, very useful tool for that. I have done it where I live which is heavily wooded. The Volunteer Fire Departments have had calls for smoke in their area and have been running around the few roads in the area trying to find the source. I have taken one of my Phantoms and put it up and locate the area of the fire in the woods for them. It only takes a couple of minutes to locate the origin.

it's the old old story :- if one bad thing about drones hits the media you never hear the end of it
but when Good things are carried out were a drone was needed you hear very little applause
