Hi there,

I am facing a problem with M210 and Z30.
First: My live feed picture what is monitored on CS 7,8 drifts to left. What i mean: Drone is steady, not moving gimbal, but i can see the Z30 live picture is moving and while flying i have to "keep" it stable with controls - i mean if it drifts left i have to hold that trigger what moves gimbal right. Have done calibrations , restarts etc.

Second:
DJI assistant 2 always gives me option to upgrade latest firmware. No matter if i do that. After successful latest firmware update it still shows me that i should update.


Why M210, CS 7.8, Z30 are so buggy??
Waiting for fast solutions.

Assistant always tells me to update Z30/XT.

What's more interesting is that the latest firmware on DJI website is 1.00.00.43 and in Pilot app Z30 says firmware version is 1.00.00.58 and the gimbal firmware is 1.00.00.54

Can you please check yours ?

Do you also face the problem 1? Drifting live picture? Or only the 2nd one.

I have both problems ...
It drifts to the right ... and the update problem

For your first question, please provide a video about this situation. Please tell me the current firmware of your drone and I would forward this situation to our engineers.

Aircraft current firmware 01.01.0303 and z30 01.00.00.43....all are latest. i try to upload my problem video soon.

Please look videos and picture above. Also via GO app 4 it asked me to update for new firmware what already exists. But via assistant i do all the procedure - 100% update etc...

I cant hit the start updating even if i use mobile device and switch to phone and connect via cable.

Please enter DJI GO 4 and then select the camera setting to reset it. Please keep us updated if the problem remains.

Hi, please reset gimbal in "Gimbal Settings->Advanced Settings->Reset All Settings" , that will help to fix this issue.

Hi Sir, the post in 16# is from our engineers.
Besides, the angular vibration range of gimbal is ±0.01°, when you zoom up to 30x, the vibration will be magnified as well, therefore it is normal that the live picture will drift a little bit, no worries.

i don't think theres nothing you can do when you have a 30X magnification is that right DJI.

sometimes i get lucky and am able to produce non-drifting footage. in this DEMO, i think the camera was level with the horizon, no pitch. sweeping in footage is sped up 5x.


i have had other instances where the z30 drift, when fully zoomed in, is towards the right. not sure if occurs more when there is to a pitch angle >30 degrees down, etc.

I just spent 30K on a M210 RTK with Z30, X4S and XT Radiometric.  I am not at all happy with the performance of the Z30 as I lost a client last week on a live demo and the camera kept drifting!  If the Z30 will not perform as its advertised and sold by DJI, why are you selling them?  The camera dose not live up to the hype and is worthless for close up inspection work unless you have a solution for the drifting issue...

I'm not from DJI, it was a joke....  My Z30 also drifts a lot buddy... It s very difficult to use it...

but I'm sure you ll be happy to know that the Drifting unsable Z30 you bought 8000$ is sold today 2999$ ! =)

Is anyone still experiencing issues with z30 drifting at full zoom? I’m interested in knowing if the professional user market product we bought is continuously being improved via software to address design faults from the manufacturer.

In this thread, I am asking about the drifts of 30. Whereas in another thread, I am inquiring about the z30 loss of frames (rarely full 30 FPS video).

We had the same issue of drifting to left while zoomed, it has been sent back to factory for replacement. We are being told its a mechanical issue and not a software issue from the techs. Either way its an amazing zoom lens, recently used at a night operation and the camera view was like we had spots lights on the scene. I also really like the tap zoom feature, only upgrade I wish would be a weather resistant rating like the M210 itself.

Good to head that from you. Now i havent realized much about that drifting problem, but when one ends another starts. Now i face problem that if i startup the m210 gimbals gonna calibrate at start-up (doing this rotates left and right) and at the end i can see that z30 wont calibrate right. Its gonna stuck like 15 degrees to the right if correct one should be that z30 should stay exactly in midpoint facing forwards. Then i have to restart drone. Little bit move z30 by hand and then turn it on again.... no help yet. Did all recalibrations. Updates etc.
