Have heard that DJI is working on improvements in their Customer Service.  Lets test the waters shall we????

Doing a shoot today for a crane company over a channel waterway.  Company wishing to get footage of an off-load from a barge.  Long day; some really good shots but the final off-load with the company's rig was last.  I got a good vantage point, got good signal from the wifi, completed the compass calibration and did the second safety check.

All of a sudden, I got a "gimbal error" message on my screen; shut down the unit and remote and checked the gimbal and camera.  Restarted, did safety checks and the camera falls off the gimbal!!!  Wow, so happy it didn't happen in the air.  Ribbon not torn but unsure how to repair.  Needless to say, the off-load was what the company really wanted video on so the end result is, I did not charge the company for the footage already taken and I have a camera that has come off the gimbal.

So DJI . . . . . I am hoping you can assist me and get me back up in the air quickly.  Your help will be much appreciated and I will be glad to sing your praises.

Thanks.

Thanks TJ for viewing and responding.

No . . . . have never hit anything.  The shaft has not snapped.  I can slide the shaft of the camera back in but there is nothing there to lock it in place.

check the end of the shaft,  it normally has a step down to a 2mm diameter and this narrow section passes through a ball bearing and the end is pressed into the servo rotor, that 2mm section has snapped off right by the ball bearing.  Been there

So when I slide the shaft back in, I have to press in to get it to seat?  If so, what holds it in?

nope it is broken and you'd need a new shaft

Yes, I believe you are right.  I looked closer at the shaft and it is sheared.  Well, lets see what DJI will do with this.
