Hi Guys, Yes I'm doing ,Saying goodbye to the Phantom 3 Std and converting it to the Phanvic bro.  The kit arrived from china . I'm no hurry to compete as I have my other Drone P3-4K..

Converting a Phantom 3 to a Mavic?  I'm with the others above - looking forward to a video.

This is going to be fun to watch. Any idea on the projected hours a project like this will take?

Doing a bit of searching about on the web and I really can't find out too much about this 'body swap'. However I did find a video, in Chinese, that shows the addition of a single cell lipo battery and a sim card and if I am correct some form of yearly subscription? Can you give us some warts and all about the set up Altech please.

Hi Merlin, Far as I have seen with how too build Videos that every thing from the inner's of Phantom shell should fit inside the body of Phanvic shell , they have mods for the sim card for Adv & Pro P3. mind has the Sim card on Cam P3S .  battery placement is the same as Phantom Shell ,  Yearly Subscription "NO" , just a kit with every thing in it . hope this helps  cheers Alex

No Sim card , just the SD card converter for the Adv / Pro phantoms 3

Any more updates? Have you encountered any issues that require modification of the new body etc?

Seen these on another gadget site. 1st one to actually post one. It will be very interesting to see the end result Altech and good luck with the conversion.

Now I want a Mavic and a Phantom. I couldn't bear ripping apart my P3S to many good times !

Does the cat come with the kit or is that a separate purchase?

I think so ,  more screws to go  

please note , if you are to give the body shell a paint job . don't paint all the ends of motor arms as you can see in pic. very tight and paint is  coming off

went to fire the motors up . only 3 started up . hmmm either my soldering or a broken wire join when you add extra wire to motors . look at during the week . it's my birthday today and time for cake .... cheers Alex

Looks great I ordered today. Just had to have one. Thanks for the tip on paint it will make me rethink my paint scheme. Bet your right on a bad solder joint. I'll likely do a little reflow work while my electronics are out. Looks like a fun project I can't wait. Happy Birthday enjoy the day. Can't wait to se your progress on yours.
