Reason why I ask is because I used it to clean my transformation lead screw. Saw a bit of rust, nothing serious on the lead screw. Not sure how I didn't see this before. So I used the WD 40 dry lube to clean the lead screw. Also cleaned the bearings and regreased them with tri flow synthetic grease. Then I lifted the rubber boot covering the lead screw and I also tried to clean under the boot the best I can. Not all the old grease was removed, most of the remaining grease was at the top where I can't reach. After it was cleaned, I regreased it with tri flow synthetic grease once again. Now the rubber boot looks shiny because of the WD 40 dry lube lol. Hopefully the rubber and plastic is safe WD 40 dry lube safe . I know DJI recommends to clean the lead screw with WD 40, but they don't say which kind. My guess the dry lube would be a better option so it doesn't attract dirt.

Here is the dry lube I used: https://wd40specialist.com/products/dry-lube/

Is the WD 40 dry lube safe on rubber and plastic? It's the same as the original WD 40 right? Just doesn't stay wet. It's a PTFE spray.

Hi Kev,

Did you take a look on the WD40 website? I would imagine that would be the best place for info.

I did I can't find anything :S. Doesn't say. Even the original WD 40 DJI recommends to use says nothing about rubber and plastics. I would assume WD 40 dry lube would be a better option because of PTFE

I wonder why it doesn't list WD-40 Specialist Dirt & Dust Resistant Dry Lube PTFE in the link you posted. I would assume it's safe on plastic and rubber simply because it is PTFE. Doesn't it have plastic already in it?
