I use an M600 Pro with the Ronin MX and a Sony Camera. You can take pictures and record videos using the Lightbridge remote controller's photo or video record button. Nevertheless, I can not use the record buttons in any of the apps (DJI GO, GS Pro, Litchi). Also, when doing mission with the action "start recording", it does not start recording.

Is there a way to solve this - especially using recording start/stop features using the DJI RSS (Remote Start Stop)?

You need to toggle the RC's bottom for recording manually for Ronin MX. If you need to do a mission, start recording before you upload the mission.

It is possible to take photos manually using the RC’s trigger button, but when doing a mission with waypoint actions, the action "Start/Stop Recording" and especially "Photo Capture" do nothing with the M600 and Ronin-MX with a third party Sony camera using the RSS.

Then again, in the app release notes the DJI Groundstation Pro app shows support for such a system (see screenshot).

Any idea why this doesn’t work - and how to make it work?

Thank you for the correction. Could you please help to name the version info about the drone and app? Would like to give it a check. Appreciate your help.

Thor --- Ive been trying to get help with same/similar issue since I rec'd the RSS-C.  Basically, everything works fine, except I'm unable to get the RSS to fire (on a Canon 5DMkIV).  I've checked all the connections, the Ronin-MX works fine . . . just no action from the RSS-C.  Is there anyway to visually check that the cable is good?  [I don't see a light on the RSS anywhere, nor can I see a 'flash' from the end top that points towared the sensor on the Canon}

Hi sir, just to verify, do you run the latest firmware with the Ronin-MX? Please try to update Remote Start/Stop to the latest firmware first. See if it helps. And yes, there isn't a visual way to check if the RSS works.

Thor . . . I updated the Ronin-MX and the M600P with current firmware and verified during the troubleshooting.  Do I have to go into the ASST2 and assign anything? (like the RSS to the LB)

Just to verify, did you keep the M600 and Ronin-MX connected when you upgraded them? Please kindly connect to DJI Assistant 2 and check if there is an error.
If yes, please try to disconnect M600 and Ronin-MX and update the firmware respectively. Try again when the upgrade is successful.

I verified all the updates are on the M600P, Lightbridge, and Ronin-MX.  Is there a means to get a specialist to help me troubleshoot this?  If you look at my account you'll see where I requested assistance from DJI Support a while back . . . really no help.  If I could get someone on the phone, I'm sure they can walk me through how to correct this.  Aircraft flies fine, Ronin-MX works, I just do not have the ability to shoot remotely.

Could you please provide me with your ticket number? I would help to check. For the update, if you update the firmware when the M600 is connecting to Ronin-MX, the RSS might not work properly, so please kindly disconnect them then update.
