Had a Standard for about 14 months. Great machine, enjoyed every minute with it. Range as stated CE region, never updated from FW 1.6.8 or DJI G 2.8.4. Bought a windsurfer mod and used Icarus App. and things only got better Unfortunately the fun has ended , and it now swims with the fishes. Don't know exactly why it happened, bird strike, mechanical fault or battery fault. The data info in 2nd video is from the flight record. No actual footage from event, was recording on Phantom sdcard only and not retrieved. Luckily this happened over water with no injuries to anyone (except the pain I'm suffering at the loss) or damage to anything. So be careful, fly safe, you never know the minute when the fun stops.

No , just sdcard in bird.

... because I know the go app puts a low quality vid on the mobile device for the lightbridge phantoms... not sure about the P3S...

Anyway, could have been a prop spin off, that happened to me once

I can confirm that for android phones at least I get a low quality output video on my phones storage on the Phantom 3 Standard.

Are you using android or IOS? You might be able to get video from your phone if you are android.

Using Android Nexus 11 but had video cache turned off in Go App, so no video.

Wow. I never seen anything like that. Wish we could see the drone footage to see what the drone saw. At the end frame the roll was at -16 which isn't good at all. That had to be the strangest crash I ever seen.

Yeah pretty strange end to a great machine, still not sure cause.

Put event on forum hoping some of the experts could throw some light on the malfunction but no response as yet.
