Had a Stand 14 months. Great machine, enjoyed every minute with it. Range as stated CE region, never updated from FW 1.6.8 or DJI G 2.8.4. Bought a windsurfer mod and used Icarus App. and things only got better https://youtu.be/e-uZuVL9Yj4 Unfortunately the fun has ended   and it now swims with the fishes. Don't know exactly why it happened, bird strike, mechanical fault or battery fault. The data info in 2nd video is from the flight record. No actual footage from event, was recording on Phantom sdcard only and not retrieved. Luckily this happened over water with no injuries to anyone (except the pain I'm suffering at the loss) or damage to anything. So be careful, fly safe, you never know the minute when the fun stops.ard for about

Sorry to hear of your loss.   I too have a Standard which I just love!!!   Will be 1 year old this Black Friday!   Knock on wood:  never a glitch of any kind, ever!   Hope to purchase a Phantom  4 (model unsure) some time soon. (Maybe  Black Friday?!?!?!)

Thanks DJI Susan, was using DJI GO 2.8.4 and FW 1.6.8. Had video cache turned off on Nexus II but was recording flight on sdcard in phantom 3. Phantom not recovered but have flight record on device. Out off warranty, so no point contacting support unless they can decipher probable cause of malfunction from flight record.

You got some sweet Dashware gauges there.

No complaints regarding Standard, can't understand all the gripes about range, 2.2Km longest flight before loss, watch this video.

Plenty of flights 1Km +. Regarding the P4, price ways, personally I'd go for another P3S

You do know, the .csv file has much more info including in flight messages than what the video show?
Use excel or a spreadsheet reader may give you more info if you havent already.

Yes, have checked csv file in Excel.

Main event occurred 2:56.4. Column AL (OSD.isNotEnoughForce) reads TRUE, up until then was reading FALSE.
At 2:58.6 reads FALSE then TRUE until the end.
Flight in P_Mode, not manually changed at any time.
At 2:57.4 and 2:57.5 switches itself to P_ATTI  and column AU shows "Speed Error"
Changes back to P_GPS and column AU shows "Already"
Finally at 3:04.8, 3:04.9 and 3:05 switches back to P_ATTI and column AU shows "Compass Error"
Various other camera errors but all after 2:56.4.
Can not find what OSD.isNotEnoughForce actually refers to, any ideas?
Maybe DJI could throw some light on the subject.
