This has been a fairly confusing aspect of the controller. From what I understand the Micro USB is actually a video out according to the spec sheet and the full size is to connect a device. As more info about the controller is released I will be sure to update this post
The micro-USB port on the back of the Remote Controller currently only support firmware update operation. Unfortunately you cannot use this port as video output though.
According to the manual, the standard USB allows the remote to connect to your mobile device (smartphone, tablet) while the micro-USB is for updating the remote itself.
