Did my first test flight with the beta firmware and no purple frames. Only flew one set of batteries and recorded about 9 mins of footage, but so far so good.

Just took the bird out for some practice and decided to shoot with some different settings. Unfortunately, when I returned to review the footage, I had some purple frames that were only visable on the SSD footage. Micro SD card footage was as it should be. That is what led me to this post.
Would like to now if you all had seen this before. I do have a big shoot this week were this camera setting would be ideal. Appreciate your time.

this looks exactly like what we discovered too.

my suggestion is to immediately contact dji to get hands on the beta firmware, or to downgrade to .010

I  found the same purple frame How do I get beta firmware?and I have both x5s gimbal and x7 gimbal 030 firmware x7 gimbal when shooting no purple frame x5s gimbal only when shooting with purple frame problem

I updat to beta version 0.302 today and tested it. I tested it first indoors but I did not have a purple frame. And the SSD card recognition error problem that I said before was solved. I am going to test again outdoors and continue to monitor I will give you the results.

Yes.

The beta I installed, which was the only 'Beta' available initially was dated 3/16/2018. There were 4 previously released non-beta versions besides the beta.

Today I connected my I2 to DJI Assistant 2 again and the beta I installed was the only available firmware: Which freaked me out! My plan had been to downgrade to an earlier firmware, the one before the Purple frames began.

The only thing I could do was refresh the firmware already installed so I did that.

After it finished and I returned to the firmware page, 6 options were available: The beta I installed, the Beta you installed (01.01.0302 - with a January 2018 release date) and 4 previous 'non beta' firmware options.

I have no idea why or what this behavior is about.

I did nothing further.

Has Beta 01.01.0302 worked for you and has it eliminated the purple frame issue?

If so if that option presents the next time I connect to DJI Assistant I'll try that.

yes. id suggest you should install 0302 - it should fix the issue, at least it did for all of us reporting here.

I tried, and I tried, and I tried, and I tried. Not to be tedious but that's what it's been: Very tedious, and I have nothing to show for it.

Simply stated: Now that I have updated to BETA firmware V01.02.0018 there is no way to go back.

Again, pardon the tedium but this is what I have tried:

(1) Connecting my 3 week old Inspire 2 to DJI Assistant 2 I get this:



(2) So my only option is to refresh the current software which gives me this:



I select to 'upgrade' to V01.01.0302 The firmware downloads to my workstation, uploads to my I2, the firmware begins to install, At 15% I get 5 equally spaced beeps - same tone and the install errors.

I'm offered to 'Retry' Does NOT work. I restart the I2 and 'Retry - Does not work.

I restart the bird and DJI Assistant and wind up back at (1)  Refresh to get to (2) and try again. Same result.

So I go (1) and (2) and try V01.01.0300, 1 and 2 and V01.01.0200, 1 and 2 and V01.01.0010  - All result in the 5 beeps at 15% install fail.

I tried 'Restore Factory Defaults' and tried V01.01.0302 and V01.01.0010 (Going through 1 & 2 twice of course) No Go.

I am stuck at V01.02.0018 no matter what I do: Purple frames and all.

This has been my Groundhog Day.

Any thoughts?

I also experience Purple frames with the I2 X5S when shooting CineDNG RAW in cold weather.
Any update when this firmware update will be released?

Would really like that issue fixed.
That and the Battery Cell errors.
