My wife and I will be traveling to Spain next year. The iPad Mini 4 that I have to fly with my Spark is not LTE enabled. I was wondering, how do I download the offline map to the DJI Go 4 app so it'll be able to find the relevant location when I fly my Spark there? I didn't see there's an option to do so like the Android version.

I don't have an iOS device, but according to this YouTube video () Offline Maps are not available for iOS but the video shows a workaround at the 3:44 mark. Basically it involves caching the map and then to never exit the GO 4 app.

Please watch the video in the 2#. There is an option in DJI GO 4 and you can download offline map in it.

What is the version of your app? Please note that 4.1.18 do not support offline map due to unstable HERE Maps’ service. We apologize for any inconveniences caused and work hard to make this feature available in the newer version.

Hi Elektra,

The version number I have installed, is 4.1.17 (3015), on iOS 11.1.1.

Perhaps that the app will be updated to a stabilized version before I head to Spain.

I just checked the video and yes, caching the map is one way to work around it but boy, leaving the app up for days may not be a very good solution since my wife (or myself) might have exited the app accidentally. Thanks for passing along the video though.

Please note that offline map is the feature of Android. Using Ipad min4, you can enter the map and zoom in or out to cache the place you want to fly. The latest version of  Android DJI GO 4 is 4.1.18, you can use IOS device to fly your spark with cache map.

Thank you. Do you have any idea of when the 4.1.18 be available? I'm still on 4.1.17 and Apple has not released the update as yet.  Just wondering.

Sorry, I can not tell you the specific date. But I believe it will come soon. Please wait patiently.

maybe off the topic; regarding Spain: strongly recommend a review of the spanish regulations; the no fly zones in "DJI go4" are just a few BUT not all!

Thanks for the reminder. I will definitely study the AirMap before launching my drone.

@DJI Elektra, 6 months have passed and still no solution? It is just stupid that ios users don't have this functionality available... Makes us think about the commitment to solve this issue...

No, I haven't heard of anything back yet still.

Well, no offline maps for apple users... And I do not believe that they're trying to fix it, it is taking too long to solve a problem than should be easy to solve.

Yeah... I know, right? Not sure why it's so difficult for them to remedy the problem.

Yep, not sure why DJI keeps on ignoring this request. It should be something basic to enable.

The only solution is to Cache Maps before Takeoff for us IOS users..

Still no solution? Just started flying with Ipad with OTG instead of Android because of stability but not being able to download offline maps is an annoying problem. Why don't DJI uses OpenStreetMap?
