1)Remove SD Card
2)Externally format sd card
3)Install the firmware on the sd card
4) Made sure DJI Go 4 is not running in the background
The symptoms:
1) Solid left led yellow light ( I know this is SD CARD problem, but even without a card gives trouble). Solid right green light
2) A Black Screen
3) gimbal is responsive to stabilization and movement.
I use it professionally so in a rush I ordered a second one to arrive tomorrow via Amazon. Makes me want to invest in a regular gimbal instead.
Any suggestions? Thank you so much for your help.

Did you have the log of upgrade in the SD card? Can you search the wifi of osmo? Please try to use the original SD card to upgrade your osmo. Keep us updated if the problem remains.

I tried all those procedures too, and still get black screen.
Have your tried to remove the SD card to see if the image will recover?
Besides, please dismount the gimbal to check the connector in the handle.
If everything is normal, I'm afraid the device will need to be sent in for diagnosis and repair.
I had this problem with my Osmo as well. Turns out the pins inside the handle were bent. Jay at the local DJI store was able to correct the problem in just a few minutes.
