What’s New?

• Added Pano shooting modes (requires DJI GO 4 app v4.1.10 or higher).
• Optimized GEO Zone management.
• Optimized Intelligent Flight Battery firmware updating.

This firmware is also an update for DJI Goggles:

• Fixed an occasional issue where the SD card could format abnormally after linking.
• Fixed an occasional issue where the linking status LED turned off after powering on.
  

Notes

• Restart the aircraft and remote controller after upgrade is complete.
• Please note that firmware update may reset various Main Controller Settings, such as the RTH Altitude and Maximum Flight Distance, to factory defaults. Before the update, take note of your preferred DJI GO 4 settings, and readjust them after the update to suit your preference.
• If the firmware upgrade fails, restart aircraft, remote controller and DJI GO 4 or DJI Assistant 2, and retry.
  

  

So it’s finally arrived. Who’s up first.

Well,...to update or not to update...that is the question. So far my Mavic is great but Pano would be a nice add. Anyway, thanks for that firmware update.

I'm looking forward to trying panoramic mode it looks quite cool

Does this fix the gimbal slowly panning?

Anyone update firmware and stable?

Will try to update it later today. It does take a while though (50 mins approx)

good to highlight that all settings will go back to original out of the box settings. Otherwise could have crashed easily.

Cool, also interested in the Pano feature.

Just done with the update, Settings are looking promising. Thanks for always updating our Mavics with new features DJI !

I will be updating this weekend I guess or this evening if I get time.

Spherical photos look promising.

Anybody know what kind of viewer do we need to view them? And what kind extension is used for saving , jpg?

I use Microsoft Image Compositor it can be d/loaded here for free ICE and/or Hugin d/load here for free Hugin

anyone else having any issues with the firmware? I am new to this and busy updating. should I have waited? is that the usual thing to do with DJI products?

As usual seems like DJI have forgotten us Crystal Sky users with the latest update, Go4 for the CS is running 4.1.14 as the latest app version, looks like this latest update requires G4 to have the 4.1.18 to operate.
CS users beware if you update to the latest FW release today we will probably have a "inconsistent Firmware issue" I will wait and stay right where I am, Thanks DJI !!!!

Thanks for the reply, I don't use Crystal Sky though. I have done the update and everything seems fine for now, I haven't flown the drone yet.

I really wish they had a "Read" settings tool...
Then it would be easy to cross check after updates...

Just updated to this FW on my new Alpine White Mavic! Sphere, 180, vertical and horizontal pano’s included plus the OPTION in general settings to enable others to know remotely that you are flying nearby... Took about 20 minutes using Assistant 2 on my Mac to fully up date and everything seems perfectly fine. The batteries have not updated so no need to put each one in and insync after but you will need to reconfigure most of your settings in the app. I’d also recalibrate the IMU, VPS, RC sticks and gimbal to check everything over.

Well, I did the update in 25 minutes without issues.  No battery update this time.
Just tested in a 10 minutes flight, all went very well.
DJI thank you for this update!  Really like te pano functions.

Hi. You use ios or android? If you use v4.1.18 app, got lag or crashed?

Use iPhone 7+ on IOS V. 11.1.2 and DJI HO 4 v. 4.1.18 - No lag, no crash using the stock RC lightning connector.

Or should I say GO 4 LOL

Whoot!  the update is here for the weekend, thanks DJI.  
For those wondering if they should update: Why did you buy a drone from a company that constantly pushes new software and technology updates to the boundaries that no other manufacturer can achieve?

when will the update for the CS be available

I  just updated my Mavic pro, Goggles, and app on my iPad mini. All seems well before flight which I will test as soon as it warms up a bit outside.

If your gimbal is like that you can try to reset to factory settings on the Assistant app, however it looks like you will have to send it in for repairs. Seems broken. It will probabl be covered by the guarantee as some other users have had that too, looks like a manufacturing defect.

iPhone 7, with iOS 11.1.2

Updating mine now via wifi, been 40 mins or so, is it normal for my android phone screen to go blank just a wite screen?  I think all is going ok though.

Updated.  So far so good

After test flight,  extreme video lag.  Choppy, and pixelated.

Does Flight Record download with DJI Assistant 2 work again ?

Update failed by the looks will try again tomorrow by wifi, if that fails again will try with the Windows assistant app.
