Just a suggestion to all of you Android phone/table users. Why doesn't one of you start a thread, listing in one place all the devices that are working, with what FW version and with what GO4 app version. All devices in one post, a nice comprehensive list. I think it would be very helpful for all of you. And who ever sets up the thread can add and modify the initial post expanding on a list of different working Android devices.
And that have an administrator add it to the TOP.

I also moved this to another, more approiate thread.

Sounds good except you only need to look down a few more threads to see that iPhone 5/5S and SE users now can't fly because they have two separate warnings overlapping each other.

And I agree, iDevices are not perfect, some have had problems, the iPhone 5/5S are getting pretty old and their hardware/processing power is being push it it's limit. I know that pretty soon my 6 will not be able to handle much more updates. Hopefully my Mini 4 will last me a year or so, by then I will be upgrading my iPhone and they a different tablet after that, provided my Mavic is still flying, or I might have a new and different bird to fly.

Just my opinion but the same device may work for one but not the other. That's what i have noticed since i have been here. Even with iPhones/iPads too Device firmwares different etc.

Same device model, 2 different people with same device model do not work the same. Once again different firmwares apps etc. Some do some not in others words.Say you and i have the same phone. Yours works fine but mine doesn't.

as for now if you have update the latest firmware dji precluded the possibility to revert back (at least the legal way...) try to find on google the procedure and there is a good youtube channel that explain well some procedure about the mavic pro

I don't know if I can post it here but i'll try anyway ;)

This procedure is not possible with this firmware (v01.04.0100).

Revert back is no more possible !!

Upgrade to v01.04.0100 is an one way road.

It happens. Usually a full, clean reinitialization of the problem phone will take care of things, but that's an avenue few people like to consider because it requires a certain amount of work and inconvenience.

I do not understand why they just cannot say what minimum specs are needed to run the app.

Obviously the more powerful the device the better I would have thought, RAM, Processor power etc etc.

It could just even be the quality of the app ( coding ) that it's just plain crap, if your going to do something, do it well or not at all.

Must be  a reason why they are chosen??

You should not really need to actually say an exact model rather than just the specs needed, like any modern game the developers will give a minimum spec and a recommended spec to run the game, more power the better the game play.

Either that or something dodgy is going on, which I would not be surprised in todays world.

People paying to get their phone on a list??

I'll try 360 tomorrow, weather permitting.
Also, you can pluck the picture set off the SD card and stitch with the DJI Media Maker Ap on your computer post flight. You will get a bigger image than that saved to phone. The issue with phone download on 360 could be memory space for processing.

Yes the interactive 360 works for me. I've only made one and deleted it after playing with it and showing my wife. Has been to windy the last 2 days to fly here in SW Missouri USA to try anymore of them. 35 mph winds i don't take a chance with lol

hope to sort out this soon maybe i'm doing something wrong in the app...

Because specs don't tell the whole picture, it's how a given system's components work together (or don't) that's important, which is why DJI posts specific models they've tested.

For instance, one incompatible device might match the specs of another compatible device, but have video driver difficulties.

Try this. Delete the app. The redownload the app. I just did this and my video problems are gone. Will fly tomorrow and see if the remote operations are better.

Today before my flight i recive a notification from google play store on my S7 Edge (Android) to update the app the app now is noticably slower on the opening  and say this on the info DJI GO 4 v4.1.18(492-googlePlay)
The strange thing is that I don't see the app in the recently updated list but I'm 100% shure to have update it before the flight
EDIT 17:30 on the app page in the Google play store it's written last update 28 Nov 2017 so even if it still 4.1.18 today something has canged the question is what it seems to me that the video transmission is better no green pixel ect. still persist the problem with the Spherical 360 image

Using the Dji Media maker don't create a spherical interactive photo but a normal flat 360° but maybe I'm doing something wrong

Is DJI updating th Android app without changing th version number 4.1.18?
According to first post 4.1.18 was released 2017.11.23 in play store.
I installed immediately and received update messages from play store on 2017.11.25 and 2017.11.28 withot change of version number and with a package size of only 34 MB?
Ar these fixes and do they fix the issues?

I am back on 4.1.15 at the moment and have no time for testing.

Basically, the android issues about video regards only the last app version (4.1.18).  After updating, I've found my dedicated Nexus 7 II tablet not working anymore. Before any other test, I did a restart, a wipe out of the device (easy as I use this only for the mavic), re-installed the app, same issue. After that, tested the new app with my S7 edge and it works. perfectly. Solution: uninstalled the 4.1.18 from the Nexus and reverted to the 4.1.15, works perfectly again.  So I suggest all android users with issues to uninstall the 4.1.18 app version and install the 4.1.15 getting it from apkmirror   https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/dj ... -download/download/   , stop crying and wait forDJI to fix the issue. in the meanwhile the new firmware works with the old app and you're not grounded. Just have to wait some days, I suppose (and hope). It's not fantastic but it's not dramatic, too...

[[ I posted this elsewhere, have edited this slightly since]]

I'm new to Drones... only 12 flights, new to DJI, so no way a Fan Boy.

But I have been in IT/SW since 1980...
Given the whole Google/Android eco system I'm surprised there are not more issues...

Google create a generic H/W spec and provide a "vanilla" OS
H/W companies like Samsung Huwaei HTC etc... build the H/W
They then take the vanilla OS and add there "own" drivers/code to make it work
((They may have better CPU's, more memory, better HD screens, better audio... etc))

They then they add a whole load of bloatware and eye candy... that runs in the background
Add to this if it's a phone they may add "carrier" specific bloatware and eye candy...
Even my own Samsung S7 will occasionally glitch on some HD video, the GPU is under strain.
So by the time these devices get to "us" they are already creaking at the edges...
Given the nature of the GO4 App dealing with "realtime" processing & video it's got a lot to do.

DJI do not have the resources to test every possible version/variant of device...
So can only test against a sample of "standard" variants...
This accounts for why some devices work, some don't.

Then to add to the complexity... When Google release an Android update, say 6.x to 7.x
The already creaking devices maybe upgraded further based on a "theoretical" it should take the upgrade.
So one day an app that worked fine get's an update that "may" just push it over the edge.

I have seen this all the time with PC's, new OS release PC crashes, H/W & Driver limitations.
Updated application, they needs more CPU cycles, or memory, then become unstable... and so on.

DJI have no control over H/W platform, so they are trying to squeeze their app into "unknown" environment.

I'm not defending DJI, I'm just trying to put some perspective on this.

Also,
Apple/IOS is a whole different eco system that is more clearly controlled/defined and constrained.(Walled Garden)
So developers have a more "known" "target" environment to develop into. So "less" issues crop up.
((NOTE, I said "less" , not "none. ))
