Nevermind, I had a sunshade on, took it off and all is well. I guess I get the Goober of the week award.

You should also go back to your original post and edit it with an update.  That way people who read it the first time will know it was due to the sunshade.

I updated my MPP last night Nov 30.  I started by deleting my Android DJI GO-4  v4.1.10 app and reinstalling the updated Android version: v4.1.18 update app.  Then proceeded to update the  Firmware : v01.04.0100.  I'm using a Samsung Galaxy A 8.0 Tab and the Samsung S8 edge. So far all seems to be working well.  Will put it to the test this weekend.

Tested it this week end at Sea Cliff Beach in Santa Cruz, CA...  It was a windy day, however all went well and the MPP handled the wind factor rather well even though I had to keep my eyes on it at all time to insure that the wind would not take it.  

One needs to log out and then log in to the Go 4 app so that when you start the controller the mavic the app will connect with it.  I didn't realize that I had not logged out of the app the last time I used it and when I went to sync with the controller and mavic the app would not sync with them.  So I  uninstalled the Go 4 app and reinstalled it, logged back in and then it synced correctly.  So, for those who didn't know.  Now you do!

I just purchased my Mav Pro Platinum last week. Did all updates and it worked great out of the box! However, the camera image on my iphone and ipad is blurry and blotchy. I reset the camera, reformatted the card etc... Image is still pretty bad.  DJI 4 app says I have the latest software update but I was advised to "re update" the firmware again.  I use a mac and I am having an issue downloading the DJI assistant 2 so I am relaying on the DJI 4.0 app which does not allow me to re install.  Help please

Apparently mate, there is/was a drama with ios, up date that and see how you go??

I finally updated it as I really want to try the pano mode, especially the 360 mode.
It seems okay and will try to test it tomorrow.
For the app, I didn't delete and reinstall. Just an update and looks okay too.
BTW, I use LG G6 with android 7.0 version.

I have always had my photo set to Jpeg + Raw,
Does anymore knw it you need to change that to shooy Pano? Because my pano shots dont download there is always a FAIL and retry

I think set it to raw dude, it will do jpegs on its own... i think??

Updated before a two hour fligh & filming. No trouble or issue.
Unfortunately had no chance to test Pano photo Mode.

I managed to update the drone via DJI Assitant 2, but the drone and RC do not connect anymore. When I connected the RC to DJI Assistant 2, it said inconsistent version. So, I updated that too. Now, both the RC and drone has same latest firmware version. However, the RC still does not connect to the drone. DJI App shows RC is connected to the phone, but nothing is displayed from the drone (sensors, camera picture,etc are blank).
I checked that the switch is in RC mode and the Linking Status indicator led is solid green on the drone.
I puzzled that every firmware upgrade brings different issues and waste so much time to fix these. I wish I just went shooting the sunset.

Since this failure, I had two updates of DJI GO 4 application. I tested once after the first update and it kind of worked. I lost connection to the AC several times, but always reconnected after a while. Not too comforting, but no crash. The Panorama shoot worked fine and stitching in LR was OK. I have not tried the 360, yet. (Do not think I need it very often.)
So, it seems DJI solved the Pixelation issue. The RC & AC connection issue is still in question. I am not happy with the firmware update failures, at all.
At least, the drone now works and we are waiting for some sunlight.

Seems like there's indeed a problem with the usb connection on android devices.

Was told my LG Fortune is not compatible. It worked fine before the Firmware update, but not since. Gave up on it and got an iphone 6

I have got a serious issues with a Iphone 5S:

Can't click the checkbox, statement is hovering the checkbox. My drone is now useless in my backyard, because there's no way I can accept.

Yes, they update when you swap them.
Best to swap them after FW is updated, before flying.

Still causing image transmisson problems on Galaxy S4

The video image on my Nexus 7 is completely deteriorated since update on December 16th. Not sure how to roll back without a computer. Hope there is a fix for the video preview soon.

NO, Do not update if using a nexus 7 or many other video devices.

Update from 12/23 corrects image issues on Nexus 7-2

I wonder what DJI support will tell you. I have the same problem and they told me to use a compatible device and your phone is in the list:

Have you tried closing all background  apps and putting your S8 into flight mode ??

Hi can DJI repersentive / controller  explain in basic terms for me what exzactly what this means by "

• Optimized Intelligent Flight Battery firmware updating.     Thank very much?   Also how can i find more imformation about restricted zones? I was flying my drone the other day and could not get any further than 50mtrs high 30 mtrs away ! what made this very unusual is the location was well out of the airport or fly zones NO GO areas by several miles ?
