I start and land for quiet some time from the hand.
To get aeound annoying compass interference trouble and such.
But I dont bother with gesture mode or palm launch/land
For the start I use the app, for landing  I use the stick down

As long you dont wanna do Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker style, .....
