Hi All,
I've a question about using my Mavic in low air ambient temps. I've seen one warning come up on my RC recently about the battery temperature being low.
Is there a minimum battery temp below which you cannot safely fly the Mavic ?
Would there be a way to 'warm' the battery by first turning on the Mavic say for 5 mins prior to flight to artifically pre warm the battery and drone ? i would be looking to fly
over frosty countryside to shoot at temps between 0oC and -5oC. (I guess flying slowly as opposed to sport mode would negate windchill and help to elevate the temp.)
Any thoughts, useful tips and comments very much appreciated.
Small tool box, small usb heating pad, place batteries in heating pad in tool box and plug usb into car on way to flying location. This is my personal method to make sure they are warm before use.
According to the specs, the operating temp range for Mavic Pro is 32° to 104° F (0° to 40° C), if you need to fly the drone in a low temp condition, you can prewarm the battery on the drone first.
We also got a tutorial on flying in high and low temperature, hope it will provide you with some tips.
