Today I made my second flight, this time at one of 'our' other sites.
It rained from time to time, so I had to find a dry 1/2 hour
Lots of wind, but it was a good practice round.
I was a bit worried about the power lines running next to our site, so I made sure I kept my distance.
No issues there (no interference or errors, other than high wind)
Also I did not fly over 70m and returned at about 40%.

Very pleased with my Mavic.
Only one real issue so far (the NFZ notification can't be agreed because it is blocked by the hyperlink on my iPhone SE screen)

Can you adjust the screen resolution on your phone for the issue?

Good to see you've got it up in the air. Did you see you there is a temp fix for iphone 5, by changing the screen zoom.

From Dji Diana in the Spark forum:-
"This is a known issue, we'll fix it in the next update. Here is the temporary solution: go to iOS settings, Display & Brightness, DISPLAY ZOOM, switch to Standard under view, it will be fixed."

Yes, it went smoothly!
Even in the rather high wind.

No, unfortunately not.
iPhone SE does not allow for that.
I tried zooming, magnifying glass and just 100x selecting the boolean...

Close to the electric supply site there by the looks. best keep clear of those. Interference can sometimes leave you in the lurch. The lines are mostly OK pending the current running through them but the generator stations are a different matter. just a few tips for worry free flying. keep up the work and remember to try the different camera settings as you go. Welcome.

Watch out with altitude and high winds, can take your drone away apparently, my newest fear.

Man that's a flat area of the world you live in and not a Tulip in sight.  Farmers paradise, get good at flying and in the summer time offer service to farmers, video them working with tractors etc and with some nice music, it's what I plan to do.

Yes, I stayed about 20m away from them and had a close eye on the screen and drone.
No interference errors.
The generator station nearby (you can see it in the first picture) is on the edge of a NFZ (local airstrip) so no plans on going there

Yes, I did not fly too high indeed.
And did not go too far.
Returned at about 40% battery.
Also I noticed the wind was worse at low altitudes. There the Mavic really had trouble keeping it stable.

Yes, we are on a flat part of the world....
Good idea! There is a local farmer I sometimes meet in my lunch break.
I will try and film him someday!

That’s why this time of year sucks due to rain and unpredictable wind behaviour. Try to take off into the wind and come home with a tail wind. Makes it a little easier when you are low on power. Gusts are fun too.........NOT, as you never know when they are coming and how strong. Keep up the practice and look forward to some trouble free flight and some interesting images.

But I will gain more confidence flying first and hope DJI has fixed it before I want to try other flight modes etc.

Yes, that was very true yesterday.
I did not move more than 10 meters away from me in the direction of the wind.
Hopefully the weather clears a bit more today

Yeah. It was too expensive and the rules were too strict to justify  the € 1300,- or so.

I made 3 flights today.
The first one gave me some nice shots.
There was a very thick blanket of fog this morning that lasted to 12:00 or so.
I had minutes to capture it.....
