A lot of people seem to be having issues after they update their firmware, any tips on whether or not I should?

General rule of thumb: Only update if there's a problem you expect the new firmware to resolve, or a new feature you want.

I'm still on .400 for the AC, ZERO issues....

Wait till the issues are resolved.

And the last firmware V01.04.0100 is an one way road ... not possible to rollback anymore ...

I've updated to all FW with zero issues.

a) Update to firmware that people say has issues.
b) Stay on firmware that people said has issues.

Has there ever been an update where people don't post issues they have, I doubt it, so how can there be any good updates out there to be on while waiting for fixes, and wont the fixes be bad updates too?

Just update, that is why you bought a DJI product, to be ahead of the game.

Completely agree!!!

We always recommend that users upgrade the latest firmware because it's the optimization to the previous one, but that depends on you. If your drone's now performing fine and you don't want to upgrade it, that's alright.

Hold back is what prudence would say ... if it aint broke why try to fix it ... ah but I want the new feature ... fine if you can FULLY backup.  With the new update apparently you cannot.  I would hold on to your Mavic and sell it on Ebay for twice it's price.  It will become a rarity.  Tongue in cheek post.

We would appreciate any feedback for the update. So if users have any problems with the drone's update, please let us know at any time.

Don’t update just yet, a lot of us had some trouble with the dji app crashing, fixed mine but give it a week to see

This is all about firmware upgrade not the app, the app can always back to older version.

Just updated on my iPhone X. Had not updated FW for months... no problem at all. Flew a bit in my backyard, no obvious problems.
