I am new to the DJI & Spark Community and I am wondering what you guys recommend with flying while it is snowing. Is a light flurry okay? Obviously Iwouldn't fly in a blizzard but I am curious otherwise. Thank you in advance!

Snow is extremely wet even light flurries, electronics and water just don’t mix.

I read somewhere, do not remember where, that if you apply a little Rain-X on the props it will help keep them from icing up.

HI,Buba. Please follow the user manual and do not fly in snowy weather. Also, spark does not support to fly in temperature below 0°C.

So what? the prop mechanism would get wet, melted snow can penetrate the body through ventilation slots, whatever. There are so many reasons why not to do that.

I didn't had any problem flying in the cold weather (12 F / -11 C) but not when actually snow falls.

LOL i flown my mavic in the snow, it can handle it. its not rated to be waterproof either.

as for the sparks, just make sure doesn't get too wet. someone suggested rainX i agree. it also helps prevent snow from collecting on critical parts.  if you want to half drown it in rainX just remove the battery, spray it all in rainX let it dry..can take a while i would let it dry for 24 hours..as long as not power connected and its left to dry, shouldn't have any issues.
