So yea, Im kind of debating right now. Should I get a vision plus v3 or a phantom 3? The phantom 3 feals like a downgrade. 12MP camera rather than 14, no waypoints, shorter battery life, ect. However the new remote is apealing to me. They are both the about the same price but yea im not sure which one to get. If im going to get a 3 its going to be the advanced version. Dont have that much cash for pro version. I dunno, need some suggestions.

why would want old tech vs. new tech?  no brainer dude,   pick the newer phantom 3 its superior in many ways....

The only thing not included  is waypoints, if you need these today, get a P2V+ V3.0, otherwise the P3 Advanced is a steal!
