Well, it depends how you quantify it. I had to buy a fridge for 100 euros to get the cardboard but if you ignore that, it didn't really cost anything. Took about an hour of messing about.

The tape is that stretchy vinyl electrical tape and is good because it conforms to the awkward shapes quite well.
I also used about one square inch of Velcro type stuff to hold the bottom into base of the tablet support.

I might spray paint it.....

if you go into sky pixel (dji.com) there's a guy called YiChen. He just pulls a coat over his head.

     Nice work!  If I may suggest, replace all the cardboard with the cardboard from a couple 12 pack Corona Light boxes (or one big case box) and it will get much lighter.  Paint it dark gray, since you asked, in a mat finish.  Still a good start.  I make all mine and still have a DJI sunshade that I have never used because it is for iOS devices - I am an Android guy!  Anyone want it?

Aloha sky,

     Trees are the Phantom Flier's friend.  Fortunately, over here we are not short on trees.  But that sun.  It keeps moving on us!  And the trees stand still!  Go figgah!  Total lack of coordination.  Where is the FAA when you really need them?

     I must say that by the time you are done with that 12 pack of Corona Light, it is rather hard to get started on the sunshade.  Perseverence is key!
