[Phantom 3 SE]
I wanted to film a river nearby my home. It was a normal winter day around 0 Celsius. I set the home point correcly and started to fly. After 1 m 16 s my drone said "critical low battery" and just started landing into the water. I could not do anything because after the battery warning the aircraft disconnected immediately . The distance was 542.1 m with clear view. The battery had 35% left at this time and I started flying my drone around 40. Warlning level was set to 25%. So basicly i started with 40% and after around 1 minutes the drone said critical low battery (on 35%) and it diconnected than it landed into the water. The water was just around 40 cm deep wand there was no streamline though it was under water around 1 hour.
I tried to wash the whole drone with destillated water. It was under water (in the river) around an hour. What dou you think? Could it survive? Or at least some parts of it?
And can i somehow get the flight log files from the drone itself not just from the DJI Go app?

I can almost tell you for sure that the battery died.  You may have thought it had a true 40%, but actually had less.

It was a brand new battery but that's true that it wasn't made by DJI.

Yeah. I mean the tempriture was around 0 C or a bit higher. It was't too cold.

It's true that the P3 batteries "should  be used in temperatures between -10 Cº and -40 Cº "  , but your flight was also started with less than 50% power remaining , and it was not an original battery... I think that those three things led to the crash.

And do you think that it (or at least some parts of it) could be working after all? Do you or anybody has an experience like that?

You can try and salvage the drone by givving it a thorough rince with distilled water to remove any minerals then blow dry on very low setting to get rid of as much water you can next either leave in a warm place that has a gentle breeze or cover it in rice and leave it dry out totally for 2 weeks.
Throw away the battery that you used on that flight DONT USE that battery again.
Once your drone is throughly dry reassemble it and try powering it up.
If it seems ok then try a test flight but is suggest you fly with extreme caution the first couple of times

You will find that a number of people here have taken there drones for a swim some have been able to get there drones flying again but some also have had a total loss of the drone.
From your description it definatly sounds like you had a battery failure due to not following suggested guidelines with the drone.
I hope you can get the drone back up and flying again.
Good luck

You must always launch with a fully charged battery.

You must always launch with a reasonably warm battery.

I like to warm my battery to at least 20 C before inserting it into the AC but lately I've been reading 25 C is recommended...

Sorry for your loss

You should have taken notice of the warnings

There was no warning except 'critical low battery' right before the aircraft disconnected. After the warning it disconnected immediately. So i couldn't do anything. I thought that it will return to home but no.
So there was no 'motors overloaded' warning like in the log files.

Everyone always learns the curves on their first drone.  That's why folks should never buy the top of the line ones first as a beginner.  It could be worse if you had lost a P4 pro. Don't feel bad,  cause you' re in lots of company, including me lol.

3rd party batteries are mostly garbage, and like others have said, "Never take off with anything less then a full battery".   Live and learn, sorry for your loss.
