Good question! My Phantom is unusable. RC does not emit a wifi signal, disconnected from AC and smartphones and tablets. Congratulations to the programmers. The DJI assistance asks me to send AC and RC to Holland, for more at my expense. Shame!!!

Hope someone "upstairs" from DJI took into consideration what the new firmware update is doing! It seems anybody who got the new firmware is trying downgrading, but results are not good. What I notice is that my SE now don't work in 2.4ghz anymore hence I can't have the safe and stable control I used to have... and I only have this drone since a couple of weeks! If this is the mood of DJI customer care I don't think I'll ever have another DJI product...

I'm in the same situation as classmates ... I bought it because of the distance range it promised and now I feel cheated. Problems since I bought it. First for the SD card and now this.

the drone before the upgrade was perfect. after the update it loses the signal from the radio control a few meters away. in the official dji website there is no possibility to download an updated firmware for AC e RC.It is a shame that the leading company in the field imitates firmware that damage its objects

I have the same problem I just can fly 100 meters instead of 1.5km before the update
For the moment dji ask me to uninstall reinstall dji go and to reconnect the remote controller with the drone, but they don't admit there is a problem with the update...
I have to test it, if you find a solution thanks!

it is a shame on the part of the brand that we limit our drone, for the pay a high amount of money when the competition (xiaomi drone) is much cheaper and since I updated my drone has been totally behind the xiaomi

agreed with that! Xiaomi is the way to go for high range wifi drone. DJI made a wrong turn with that forced FCC to CE switching. Why not let people decide what mode they want to fly in to!!! DJI should make it up to all the people that feel cheated by buying P3SE because of the great price to range value! I know they can do it with an update if they want it to.

I got problems after update to 1.5.40  -  no control even on 30-40 meters high, people all over the internet got the same after update to the latest firmware. This is ridiculous, you must fix it, DJI

I bought it because of the declared good performance, But got a cheap Chinese drone with a good camera that flies no further than 150 meters. You DJI must do something to make me satisfied with the purchase.

Same here, every ad stated the huge 4km range but I can't climb over 60m or 150m distance. Image transmission goes out way before that.

This is a total disgrace for DJI, if I designed a product, promised that it would do something, I'd lose my face if my product performed only 1/5 of the promised. I could live with 500m range, IF the image/control was stable up to that. In Finland, this is called false marketing which is prohibited by laws. One teleoperator here got penalty for TV ads which had too small texts of terms for average people to read.

Hi there, the latest P3 SE firmware(1.5.40) added working frequency and channel settings for the RC. If you set the 5.8 GHz in APP, the image transmission and signal between AC and RC are 5.8 GHz, while the image transmission and RC between mobile and RC are 2.4 GHz. Also, you can adjust the antenna to check whether it helps.

All your methods do not work return the frequency 5.8 otherwise the drones are a piece of iron. with range. 50 meters is not even 500

Before updating the DJI app GO to version 3.1.23 and firmware to version 1.5.40 Phantom model 3 SE flew just fine, the height is 394 meters, a range of more than 2 kilometers, no problem! After the upgrade, same location, same weather conditions, the picture disappears already at a distance of 140 meters, disconnection and return to home at 320 metres. Use your mobile device Apple IPad Air 2, the antenna is put right, there's no buildings, no RF interference. Please help! Correct the situation with the Phantom model 3 SE, otherwise, buy it just doesn't make sense with such characteristics as it is now. Thanks in advance! I hope for Your help!

I also have the trouble to get the signal around 100 meters and become uncontrollable on the drone! It's not the problem that he does not keep the CE or FCC rules, but he does not even fly 500 meters away because he misses the signal!

Same problem since the update, I have stopped to fly because of this update, I have no reason to buy a 600euros drone juste to fly 100 meters. If it is not solved I will ty to send it, but it will be complicated of the distance is only 100 meters !! 2 weeks ago it was 1,8km with just few lags :'-(

Our drone was perfect before the update. We had a drone that was possible to fly 1km away without having any type of lag or anything similar. After the update, a friend of mine with the xiaomi mi drone makes fun of me because he says that we have a drone that does not work for anything of 600 €, since his continuous loss of signal makes it impossible to fly. On the part of DJI they should have put a switch so that you would choose which option to fly FFC or CE

Hello, I live in France and I own the phantom 3 SE which worked very well before the firmware update 1.5.40. Since a lot of image loss and impossible to go over 200 meters with my samsung android tab s2. Everyone complains about this update, the problem is real and comes from your last update. Dji engineers must quickly put a solution to correct this firmware. The problem is with Dji.

I think a DJI does not want to understand the problems, rather they communicate very badly as a pilot error! No, not a mistake, it's a bad construction! Same as the Samsung Note 7! The DJI has to know that this bad series and pay back the money for the users!
