Hello friends, my new Spark (2 weeks pilot) fell from 40 meters with 18-20% remaining battery ..... previously I had started with a Rocket launch (successful) but before starting to descend I canceled it and continued flying in normal mode and taking photos and videos but after 4 or 5 minutes collapsed and fell..... luckily fell into grass and did not suffer more damage, only in propeller protector.......any idea of what could happen to me ??

Spark: latest firmware
RC: via wifi
DJI GO 4: 4.1.18
Samsung S8+

Thank you

Hi, sir. Any error message in your app now? Any interference around your spark when the accident happened? Please provide more info for better analysis.

your battery didn't indicate the correct voltage reading and you probably ran out of juice....this explains sudden fall.

Try to land before you exhaust your battery.  How much battery was remaining after it fell into the grass?  Controller should have been beeping like mad that the drone needed to return home.  Trying to go home while the pilot kept flying it around.

Now that you mention it, I remember seeing:

"Max motor speed reached" Warning and 2 minutes later fell

Yes I did get a warning message, you can see the full details in my other thread.  However, I am an experienced pilot and been flying RC craft for 25 years.  There's no way this was my fault.  If you're into log files, here's mine...

Flight Log

As you can see, I had 22% battery, was well over 20 ft above the tree, initiated a pano and was fine for the first 42 pics.  Then my craft said "Motor Overloaded" and within 2 seconds started falling from the sky.  This is the first time in over 100 flights I've had any problems.  I am losing my faith in the product, as I paid over $1000 between accessories and the spark itself, and it's not worth it to me to lose my money when its not even my fault.  I admit, a lot of these crashes are pilot error, but not mine.  Just look at the log if you don't believe it.  I also looked at the pictures, nothing in sight and it was my front prop that was cracked (I always pre check before flight and it was fine) so I know it cracked when it hit a tree on the way down after it initiated a crash landing for no reason at all.  As much as I love DJI I am now scratching my head and haven't flown since (I own 3 drones, Spark, p3 standard, and mavic pro...)

I agree that this is a weird one and hope that DJI can identify the cause when they analyse your blackbbox data. Please keep us informed once you know more about the cause.
