I just got my osmo mobile and tried to use the active track but doesn’t seem it working. The error message is something like use the function in landscape mode. But my phone is already at landscape position. Not sure how should I do to make it working.

Yes same error as him and everything is calibrated, it says i need to go into landscape mode to do activetrack even though i am in landscape mode

Not identical problem, but Active Track is also not working on my unit. In the DJI tutorial:
1. Tap yellow target icon
2. Icon shows "next" instruction
3. Drag box around subject.

On my unit, step 2 never happens.

I got my osmo yesterday and I'm using the note 8. When I use active track it will lock onto something and track it for a few seconds. Then it will tilt up, lose the lock and kick me out of the app. Any suggestions or ideas?

After that, you have to drag a box around the subject you want to track.

What kind of subject are you tracking and how is the light?

Hello Sir, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s cannot use Active Track function because of its own calculating ability limitation. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Iphone 5 se ... active tracking worked without any problem ... now it just stopped and is not available anymore .... this gimbal is a cool gadget... but the dev. team is really bad... user friendly is something else

Hi,

I'm new to Osmo mobile and had the same issue. Active track still isn't working but I managed to get a solution to this error message. The message is caused by your iPhone settings - you've probably got it on portrait / landscape lock. If you turn this off then the error message goes away.

That is right, the Vertical Orientation Lock must be disabled in phone Settings when you use Active Track, thanks for sharing here.

Hi, I use the Osmo Pocket with a Google Pixel 2 and cannot get Active Track to work. I have tried a number of subjects, tapping and drawing the box around them but nothing works. Any ideas?
