First:  I have looked around the forum and I have found similar questions but it seems that DJI avoided them because all points were not covered in the question.

OK, I am well aware that DJI does not reccommend using antennas or boosted antenna that do not come with the lightbridge.  I am also aware that doing so may void the warranty.  I have done some research on the lightbridge, it is essentially a fancy 2.4 GHz router.  

I am wanting to create a "Base Station" from which I can control the quad and record camera footage, within a large radius with elevated antennas.  

I am wondering if anyone has done anything simila and have met with success or failure.  In the case of succes, could that person or persons give me any advice.  Please note, I am a WIFI tech by trade.

If no one has tried this, or met with astounding failure, please let me know this as well.
