main controller data error

I get a "main controller data error" after the latest update. also it wont let me fly more than 30 m up and 30 m out. says max distance and max altitude and starts to land. the setting for max distance are off and max altitude is set at 500m. I tried the you tube fix by tappinng the icu, tried to calibrate icu, tried replace the sd card under the icu. none of this works. can someone please help

Hey there, is the firmware update successful? What's the current version of the aircraft, controller and APP? Has the drone been involved in crash or hard landing before? Please help us double confirm, thanks!

No crash or hard landing the firmware update is the newest one for the AC and the RC the app is also the newest. Everything was fine until I downloaded and installed the new firmware update. I can fly it but it constantly says Main Controller data error and causes glitches and won't go very far it just totally loses connection and starts the RTH" I tried installing firmware again. I tried tapping the imu inside the AC i don't know what else to do

Perhaps do a re-pairing of the aircraft and controller. I had a number of odd issues pop up after one update and  re-pairing fixed it.
Also check that the firmware update didn't reset the 'training' mode and result in the 30m restriction.

Sorry to hear this. Now that the warning remains after many attempts, I'd suggest to send it in for fully diagnosis and repair: http://www.dji.com/support

I tried the repairing still getting the “main controller data error”. It’s very frustrating. I have another controller but when I installed the last firmware it would power on. I have reset it but only to the point to where the first light is bluish green and the next two are continuous the third one flashing and the last one off. I tried connecting it to Dji go and it won’t even acknowledge the controller. I’m telling you this new firmware screwed all my dji stuff up bad. I’m very disappointed in dji this time. Now they want me to pay them for repairs when it’s their fault. Maybe why they have this new firmware lol

You want me to pay dji to fix what dji caused? My drone and 2 controllers were just fine till I ran the updates now they’re all down!!! If anything dji should pay a local drone expert to fix it.....! I’m very frustrated and disappointed with dji this time.

Generally, the firmware upgrade will not cause the hardware glitches. The local team will do damage assessment once they received the package. We will offer you corresponding solutions according to the exact status.
