Just updated both batteries and controllers, no problems!

Loading now - will post back in a bit!

That seems not to be a Problem, but this component seems to have newer Software than the latest update. How could this be?

Updating Intelligent Flight Battery Firmware
The Intelligent Flight Battery is upgraded during the aircraft firmware upgrade process. It is recommended to keep the upgrade package files in your SD card. The upgrade will start automatically after power cycling the aircraft.

All good - loaded fine. Had to try a couple of different USB sticks on the controllers, but got there in the end.
Same thing happened last time. If you find that the update doesn't start on your controller, try the microSD in a reader or a different USB stick.

Much quicker than that Topvisions - only took a few minutes for me.
All updates returned a 'success' result.

I thought that there are only bugfixes

Is it just me ?  Shouldn't we receive info regarding a Firmware Upgrade from DJI rather than learning about it in a Forum?  I had problems last upgrade.  Any clue what features this involves?  I would like to know as I am not having any issues flying or video at this time.

for me the most annoying issue ist the gimbal horizon drift. The release notes says it has been fixed. Can you confirm that?

Found that battery 1-2 test fine but batter 3 found that "BATTERY UPGRADE REQUIRED" . Any advise me  ...

Put the sd card with the firmware in the camera, put the battery in and power it on.
The inspire will update it automatically

Yes it is. You have to place it in the root Directory of the Memory Card

I have deleted all other files on my card and that is the only file that is now on the card.

Upgraded the craft with no issues. The controller wouldn't update via my usb drive, but I was able to update both controllers from the Gimbal. Also upgraded the FW on 6 batteries (TB47 & TB48) without issue. Test flight tonight

POST flight performance please!!!! I don't see my bird till tomorrow when I get back to LA!!!! I'm dying of curiosity

Just completed updating 2 Inspires, 7 batteries (including the one with the bad cell) and 3 controllers.
Took 13 minutes for 1 Inspire and 10 1/2 minutes for the other Inspire.
About 1 1/2 min for each controller and 1 min for each battery.
After each upgrade I removed the sd card, checked the text file then deleted it before the next item was upgraded.
In the end I did not have to re-link my controllers , both masters and slave continued to work as previously linked.
All gains on the controllers were reset to a default value.
After the upgrade I had to calibrate each compass.
The only issue I had was one of the controllers would not link  initially, I then tried to reset the link with no luck. After that I put in the .bin file back on the sd card in the camera and it did the upgrading sound for about 2-3 minutes and then stopped. I turned on the controller then and it linked!
I have tested out the simulator and it seems fine...now heading out to a wide open place to test!

How do you access the log file that shows the firmware for each component?

I did the update on the aircraft but the notepad says, "Result: Failed.
Reboot the aircraft and try to upgrade the firmware again."

When I try again it says, "Result: Abort.
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft."

The controller updated fine and the app says, "Overall Status - Normal (latest firmware)

The horrible lag with dual output and an android device still exists why DJI why?

How old is your unit & to access your log file you will need your computer to see hidden folders...hope that helps

Notices of Firmware Update thru email notification to registered owners was a great way of being in touch with the customers direct. Not all of us can be glued to the forum 24-7 LOL Also  video of firmware install was a great idea!! Firmware was a breeze! Thanks DJI for listening and working to improve on this very important subject

Firmware update failed on the first attempt ,formatted card tried again everything okay, have 7 battery to update 4 of them needed to update and 1 has to have a full cycle.

I'm confused.  You indicated that you needed to update both batteries.  Are you saying that I need to do the firmware upgrade on my Inspire 3 times for with each battery installed and then again on each controller?  In the past I only did the firmware upgrade on the Inspire and then for each controller.  Is there an update that has to happen on each of the batteries as well?

All updated, no problems just follow included update instructions for I1, RC, and batteries.
Ps,, RTH height defaults back to 20m, if you need higher than you will need to change.
Now out to test,, fingers x'd
Update,
Test flight results all good, no GPS drop outs or gimbal twitch and as solid and stable as a rock,,,,,,,,
So far so good...

Is the GPS problem any better?

Its good that they are fixing bugs, but lets hope we are now on the road to new functionality in the next release (waypoints, POI etc..).

Updated Inspire, 3 Batteries and 2 Controllers.  

I guess I have to re-callibrate IMU and then compass before flying.  Going to try this evening.
