Heads up anyway.  Why pay.  I like Win7 but hey, upgraded one PC today and happy, even let's you choose whatever language you like.

W10 is the best version I have seen so far.

Once you get rid of the apps you don"t need and stop it spying on you.

Except that every time it updates it sneaks a few of them back, along with additional bloatware. But it is very stable.

I use both a Macbook & PC(s), and both Apple IOS & Android devices. Pluses and minuses in both camps.

^^ yep, me too both PC/MAC but often use MAC b/c it's but more reliable. Had a PC which lasted me 1.5 years, MAC on the other hand, lasted 7 years.

I use OOSU10 to remove the crapware and the spying parts. Other than that, W10 is way smoother than W7. People like to bash it for other reasons, but they clearly haven't used Vista if they thing W10 is bad.

PC and Mac's have the virtually the same hardware inside, aside from the motherboard. I can guarantee you your PC was bought from a crappy manufacturer. I built my own PC and other's do it too and they last for at least 7-10 years no problems.

OMG Vista! It was awful. Also 8 was terrible. I'm also old enough to remember ME - which was out for about 12 minutes. I was unlucky enough to buy a desktop at exactly the wrong moment and get stuck with that piece of crapware. Windows is amazingly inconsistent with their upgrades. Sort of like DJI firmware - ha!!

Probably I've seen over the years is that once PC is connected to internet, 'forgettaboutit'...within time, it works at a snails pace. Hate it !  I have a windows PC laptop that I use specifically for a documentation SW but no internet connections whatsoever. I've had this SW running on it for several years already and it works as it should but again because I don't have any internet service on it.
Just my take, others may love it. To each their own.

If you use you win10 pc on mainly a wifi network, set it to "Metered Connection", that way it won't automatically download the updates.
This so they don't pi** off people when it used "air data", or capped data downloads.
