Hello everyone,

With the new Firmware everything was alright with Android App Version 1.07.

I just tried out Verson 1.09 and as soon I start the motors of my Inspire the App chrashes. Doesnt matter if per Remote or per Auto-Take off Button on the Screen.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6.

I have tried to delete cache of the app and de- and reinstalled it a couple of times.
Can anybody tell me how to geht back to Version 1.07? The APK Download on the DJI Site is already V1.09 and shows the same problem as the Version from Playstore.

Please fix soon, I am not the only one with this problem!

I have made the same experience. Samsung Tablet Galaxy SM-T705. DJI App was haltet when I startet the motors.

Please fix this!

Unfortunately I couldn't find the 1.0.7, but I did find version 1.0.6 if you wish to downgrade to it until this issue gets fixed. Below is the link:

DJI support have just replied to this problem and have said they are fixing it asap.

If it's not one thing, it's another right now! All I seem to do is apply update after update these days!

Applied the latest firmware update to both controller, Inspire and all four batteries that I currently have without issue yesterday. Checked it through with the Pilot App via my Nvidia Shield which is still at .07 and seemed fine.

Now that there seems to be an issue with the latest version of the app, I'll have to remind myself not to connect the tablet to the internet and update it until DJI applies yet another fix.  You'd think that testing would be 100% carried out before rolling out these updates!

This is really scary...I wonder how they do testing...I have asusnote pad 7 with android 4.4.2 and te app crashes every time I try to launch it.  1.0.7 running ok.

1.0.9 crashing my two devices.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with 4.4.2 Android (DJI recommended device!!!)
Samsung Tap Pro 10.1 with 4.4.2 Android

Both work perfectly well with 1.0.7

I'm concerned what other bugs we will discover over the next few days with the firmware. I wish we could also roll back on the updates.

All that after the Beta-Test in the field ???

I did the FW update and it runs o.k. Normally I use a SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB S 8.4 and I started with App V. 1.0.7 : no problems. When I read here the problems with App V.1.0.9 I installed this Version on my GALAXY S5 with And Version 5.0. With this config I had also the problem when starting the motors: "DJI APP STOPPED". Now I started the app three times and with the third start I could start the motors and the app was running stable! I tested only without props.
For the next time I will not update the App on my TAB S...

This is NOT firmware related but an app bug.

What perplexes me is, it is SO apparent and reproducible why on earth it wasn't spotted very early on !!!!

And guys, it would appreciate if you provide the log file (in the folder Phone\DJI\dji.pilot\LOG, named"crash") if you have any crash issue using android device after upgrade.

Crash ONLY occurs on motor start-up when you initiate CSC command.

Update went OK.

Android app crashes when I try to go to "Camera" or "Map" with the motors ON.  It doesn't matter if the app or motors are started first.

Even if I restart the app, it crashes.

Anybody find a way to keep the app running to be able to fly for now?

Did you try to start the App immediately new when she stopps. In my case after three times new starting the app it works. (Android V 5.0 on Galaxy S5)

Thanks, but I tried that as well.

I did manage to get it to stay on once, but each successive try it crashed again.  I couldn't find a combination of steps to keep it running.

I'll keep trying though, so thanks for the tip.

I cannot believe that I paid $3000 for this....

It crashes right on the motos starts. My device is Note 3 and Nvidia Shield.

Now, what should I do? Make a public video on YT of me running over of this with my pickup truck or be F "Patience" with "great" developers team?

Pretty ridiculous, isn't it?

I understand software bugs, and I know that sometimes updates can introduce new issues, even app crashes.

But how could one as serious as an app crash on a motor start get by the DEV team and Beta testers?

Maybe it's limited to certain devices or device settings?

Oh, well, I know they WILL get it fixed, hopefully soon.

You know what is really strange?

It works now on my Samsung Galaxy S6 - and I don´t know why.

I installed and deinstalled the 1.09 APP several times, cleared the catch of the App and restarted my phone.

Out of sudden, it worked and the failure is not coming back.

I suggest until the next version is introduced, just try the same...

CONFIRMED! 1.0.10 fixes crash when motors are on.! That was fast. Let's not have this happen again!

We release the v1.0.10 app to address some crash bugs.
Pls upgrade your app and test it.

If there is any problem unsolved, pls kindly let me know.

Autumn is correct the new version to the Android is now available .  Thank you all for reporting this.  It seems to be device specific.  I had no issues on my S4 phone but that does not mean that it does not happen.  Please let us know your experience once you upload the App.

Just updated the pilot app to new V 1.0.10 on my Samsung TabS....app no longer crashes...everything looks good ...so far....OK
Wont know any more until rain stops.

So guys then test you gimbal wheel cause after 1.0.10 its not working as it should.
Just test it in 100% 50% and 30% rolling the wheel to it max Up and down.
I have one device with old app and other with the 1.0.10. The old one works fine.

The speed of Up and Down the Gimbal is not the same in certain %. In 100% if you bring the gimbal down right after it reach its limits it will automatically Up back.

In 40% if you roll the wheel to its max the gimbal will not move, You must roll back the wheel half way to make the gimbal move again.

In less than 40% the gimbal will not movee at all!!!! hahahahah
This happens only with the new App 1.0.10.  The oold one 1.0.7 works fine.

So DEVs please check this issue and remember its not a $50.00 Aliexpress drone.

DJI website download link for the Adnroid App it's 1.0.1 as for today?!
Where's 1.0.7???
