Hi guys A dutch guy(not me) did some stupid things with his drone (not a MP), like ignore Battery warning etc.

Clicks on his video was more important than keeping the drone.  Drama pushes the story.  Will he make it?????  Dumb but profitable.  

That has to be the most insane recovery I've seen LOL - good that he used his initiative and got it back in one piece. So many pilot errors in this video though: He could have used find my drone to identify it's precise location, should have dropped from 73m AGL in high winds to increase air speed, should have turned off RTH and flown manually in ATTI mode to increase air speed and lower power output from the battery. Better still, he shouldn't of flown a drone 4.5KM from his position in a CE area and especially in strong winds. Fun to watch though and no harm done.

Has a lot of cash and fixated maybe.

I need to get a life after this drone fever.

Curious why this is being posted again?  It's an old video, previously posted on this forum.  

We have all been in this situation way too many times and yet we keep doing it...lol

Well people can learn from his mistakes.
Don't ignore RTH warning, always looks were the wind came from.
If he switch the forward vision sensor off his rth speed is much faster, and easier fly against the wind that's save battery. Also he could use his app find my drone, to locate the landing position.

He has a lot of great videos. he knows what he is doing. Some of this stuff he does because it will get views.

My longest flight I change the course at the and in order to avoid a forest and be able to land on a meadow, but Mavic reaches me without problems.

He's nuts. P4 was about 14,000 feet of distance with low battery fighting headwinds, atti-mode and only going 7-8 mph, that was a recipe for disaster. I've been out to 14,000 feet but upon hitting the turnaround point, I'm coming back with at a min of 69 % battery to make it home. Wow lucky he found it. I def thought it was going into the water.

A good lessons-learned video. I think he was lucky to be able to land it on the sand bar/plate.

I think he came into a mload of cash and is just having a good time on a new hobby he came across.

Did you see the one where he land his p4 in home patio lol from max distance.

I do not think he has done anything wrong in his vids, bit daring, but ...

And yea he made mistakes but who are we to criticize... Its much bigger then that. Naybe dont watch his videos? Or anyone else who does stupid things?

find my drone was already in the app since phantom 2 vision+ (which I had)
I don't care about if this is a old video but for newbie people they can learn from it.
How many people knows flying against the wind gets faster when you disable the forward vision?

Its just corny man u want to bad mouth a guy in a forum on the internet......because theres nothing better to do or talk about?

I like that one dirty bird. Did a little over 7 miles round trip last weekend myself

Damn, pretty impressive. You probably had 0% winds right?


Most I distance on the MP was 6.3 miles round trip which came back with 9% battery. Definitely stained my uw.

Yea had one at 41000 too heres last week

There was a 7 mph wind so yea landed at 1 percent actually. No winds and better conditions def can go farther

yea i dont really push the limits to much... nice to know mav has no problems going the distance tho! Thinking about getting the DJI goggles soon think its about that time

ahh got it, sarcasm doesn't translate well for me through text lol

this guy isn't a bad guy at all.  infact i have watched many of his videos and while there is a few i totally disagree with most of them are ok and he is relatively safe and experienced.  he like the rush he gets from flying his drone and pushing his limits and the drones limits.  he did this test and several other tests in "remote" areas like over water and threw some mountains where it is unlikely he will encounter air traffic or harm other individuals.

True, although he does break some rules that we have in NL.

Great guy. He's always pushing the limits of his drone. I love his videos.

He isn’t always in the Netherlands however.  He travels around a lot.  

Also drone rules and laws are in their early “experimental” stages where obviously the laws are not made by or for experienced drone pilots.  Like the whole can’t fly via FPV thing which is stupid because it can be vital and easier for those whom are experienced to fly via their screens or goggles specially in tighter situations.

I know, I did not make the rules.
I only know that breaking them causes for even more strict rules.
So that is why I don't like this kind of selfishness.
