Just wanted to leave this video I made about the spark flying in pretty heavy snow conditions here in Montreal today. Have any of you had a brush with the elements of mother nature? Also I wanted to share the feature no has mentioned since the sphere mode update and that now in tripod mode it vertical camera movement now goes almost all the way to the top, which is an amazing feature for the spark! Anyone else try it, I use it all the time.

Thanks for the video and for having discovered the new capability in tripod mode. That is a major progress indeed although it is not a surprise for me. The other pano modes were introduced already before the sphere mode and have revealed that the gimbal is not mecanically limited to 0°. Thus it has been a software limitation in the beginning that has now fallen. I wonder if DJI is even aware of it ;-).

Great find! I love the low and slow pointed up shots...That's a tough angle to capture smoothly with a traditional camera (when you are 6'5" tall) haha

Excellent find!  Looks like it works for tracking girls too!

Hi, guys. Please note that we would not recommend users fly our drone when the temperature is below 0° C. And I think it is dangerous as blizzard means high winds and low visibility.

Mind you it was 0 degrees at the point of flying.

I pretty certain they don't know. But all the other pano shots prior have only a few degrees more vertically, which I notices but after the sphere update it got unleashed to its most usable extent. So much fun!

All other dji drones can tilt up camera 30 degrees controllable by operator in all modes , I think it only works in tripod mode on spark.

Yes, now it can. Before it was limited to 0° to -85° as still reflected in the Specs.

Yeah, slightly off topic, I also see now in my app when Aircraft is turned on , when I click into video camera settings , click on the camcorder icon it now just reads Video, before it read video 1080 x24fps , I just wonder will we see a change in video FPS ie 25fps that many have been looking for, it’s just an assumption.

We'll see what the new App version .22 brings as surprises, hopefully only good ones.

Please notice the message from the app if you decide to fly in low temperature. I would recommend you warm up the drone first.

I flew a little yesterday on a snowy day but decided to land lol. Mid Air ... obstacle avoidance started beeping a bit. I guessed it's the visibility and snow. So remember to turn off Obstacle Avoidance.

I shot this sphere the other day during a snow shower. The snowflakes kept causing obstacle avoidance alerts. The first 2 attempts didn't complete but after turning of obstacle avoidance the sphere was able to complete. The temp at the time was around 30 F.

I put this sphere together using MS ICE.

This is in Canton, MI.

In snow like that, I keep line of site and turn off obstacle avoidance until I begin to land. Thanks for watching!
