Introduction to G Davidson
Living on the North East coast of Scotland
I have been fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful scenery and historic
places. Since 2003, when I bought my first DSLR, I embarked on a new hobby and
a slow journey in learning photography and sharing my ventures on Panoramio and
Flickr.

The limited resolution of cameras at that
time led me into image stitching and later into full 360 degree panoramas and “little planet” views of interesting
architecture.

Late 2015 during an unfortunate flooding
event I saw some local footage from a DJI quad copter and was surprised at both
the advancement in technology and the fresh perspectives of familiar places.
Inspired, I bought a Phantom 3 and nervously began exploring aerial views
and soon realised I could apply 360 techniques to aerial imagery.
Moulding some of these panoramas into
otherworldly views, I’ve enjoyed sharing these on the
forum and give a big thanks to all the forum members and admins for all their
kind support and encouragement!

To hell with the cost of ink and inkjet printers and such. Put your work together in one of the many internet “photo books” that are available. I use “https://cewe-photoworld.com” its not the cheapest, but its very capable and very good quality. It will cost you a few quid per book depending on size and number of pages. It is a great way to show your work, you can add comments and information etc. I have made books from Iceland, Africa, Antarctic, Malta +++ just for myself but occasionally someone wants a copy. You have serious chances of being commissioned for your work. I will make you an offer, if you put some of your work in a book, I will buy 2 copies off you, at double the price you have to pay for them. That means you can make 4 books, I effectively pay the bill and you get 2 free. That should deal with the ink bill.

I am serious, any book, any quality, but keep them under 50 pages please.
