Having just got my own P4, a work colleague of mine handed me his P2 Vision + will video issues (as I like to fix things).  On the iOS app we can get the telemetry information and move the camera angle up and down, take pictures and even video to the SD card, but no video feed (just the spinning blue circle).

Looking on the forum and general google searches everything is pointing me to the internal aircraft wifi sender module - P2VP03. There seems to be an overheating problem with this module causing premature failure. I've looked around the web to see if there is a UK or European supplier but not come across anyone.

Some units are on eBay, but look to off older crafts so not confident to purchase one as would rather prefer to get a new module.

Can anyone point me to a supplier or do I need to get the P2 shipped back to DJI for them to repair?

      

Yeah the wifi module on the AC might be burnt out.  Or it could be the NAND chip needs to be flashed.

I saw a guy on eBay a week or two ago who was offering to repair the P2V+ wifi module for $100

Thanks Mark, interesting read.  I'll see if my colleague wants me to dig into his machine at that level of intervention.  What is the success rate of this type of re-flash and would a Windows 7 machine be OK to run the s/w.  My other device is an iMac.  Cheers ....  

If you read through some of the P2V+ threads here you'll see the success rate is pretty good!

Thanks for referencing my tutorial (https://sites.google.com/view/phantom-2-wifi-module-fix/home). I worked up these instructions from a thread on phantompilots.com  where rmhome, gaucho and a few others really dug into the binaries and the embedded SoCs that the P2VP shares with lightbridge units (Davinci Media processors).

Glad to see people are using this site to fix their drones. Of the 60+ I've fixed using this method, I'd say 80%+ are fixed with a new bootloader flash (per my Google site instructions above). And of those fixed 90% or so still have FPV 6 months later, ie low'ish rate or recurrence.

Recently, I've read in forum posts that DJI has begun accepting P2 series Phantoms that have this and similar problems and DJI is repairing them at no charge!
