I did a review in Portuguese to talk about Crystalsky's strengths and weaknesses.



NEGATIVE POINTS
- Weight: Ipad Mini 2 = 332 grams / Crystalsky 7 "= 665 grams
- Price: Ipad Mini 4 = US $ 399 / Crystalsky 7 "= US $ 699
- It will be difficult to find spare parts
- Even on standby it consumed 5% of battery during one night
- I have not been able to install third-party applications
- Explorer app does not open DNG files
- Many bugs! Bussola does not calibrate. The video has lag (watch 15:23 sec). Does not synchronize flights.

STRENGTHS
- The brightness is very good (watch at 18:31 sec)
- It's well built
- It has SD and USB card reader (pendrive)
- Did not crash the app due to the warming. I used it all day with the temperature at 34ºC
- The DJI Launcher features an intuitive interface
- The duration of the batteries. I used one all day, made 10 flights and even used the internet at night. Battery remained. The recharge time of a battery is 45 minutes.

What I wish I had
- HDMI Input
- Play Store (even if limited to only a few apps)

If it were not for the bugs I have found and mostly the lag in the video (I do not see the realtime image as on the iPad) I would be very happy with the purchase.

You can use some 3rd party apps but not ant that rely on google service so not through playstore

I tried installing DroneDeploy through your apk but I could not get it to work.

I tried installing Google Maps but I can not sign in.

It all seems like a wrong way to install. I wish it were easier!

The part about consuming battery when in standby is an easy fix.  At the end of the flying or using the CS just long press the power button and tap shut down. Then the CS consumes no power whatsoever. If you just put it in standby mode of course it will consume power because it is still 'switched on'

Dronedeploy & Google maps use Google services so can not be used. Only apps that do not use Google services can be used. Airdata, Pix4d capture. UgCSA can be used

I was comparing with the iPad that even in stand by does not consume so much battery like that.

Didn't know it's that easy to fix the battery problem. That is also my problem with mine, didn't think of this before. Thanks for the input

Yep. My CS when switched off properly doesn’t consume any battery whatsoever. The wake up time from fully off is very quick anyway so I never really allow the CS to sleep for longer than an hour between flights.

As the video states it is hit and miss as to which 3rd party apps will work in the restricted DJI Android CS environment so you just need to suck it and see by trial and error until DJI provide the Play store.

Any app that needs Google services (eg anything by google) will not run. Running Pix4D capture but it doesn't control the speed with a M210 but does sort of work, Pix4d know of this problem & are working on it.

I'd like to hear something official from DJI!

My drone is DJI - Spark Quadcopter and I'm using DJI CrystalSky 5.5-inch, High Brightness for it.
