Has anybody flown a drone using Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 tablet?
What I'm intersted most is the visibility of teh screen outdoors. How bright and visible is it on a sunny day?
My personal experience with tablets (I have the Note 10.1 and tested the new Tab and a iPad) is that they are not very visible outdoor if there is a lot of light.
So I would say you need a hood for that.
But if you have one, you can take it outside and check if it works for you.
I am certainly not a DJI salesperson but have shared my own experience. The OP apparently considers purchasing a tablet to use with his Spark and is asking for experiences. I have started with a tablet myself before changing to the CS. Thus my post suits very well in this topic.
I fly my P3S and P3 4K with a Tab A 7in, tried it with my Mavic and it kept crashing. I use a Tab S2 8in with my Mavic and Inspire 1. all at full brightness no sunhoods. just gotta have it so the sun not directly shinnying on the tablet screen and it fine
I can fully understand your choice because of the investment, took me quite a while to decide on it myself. If you find a good tablet hood that fits to the measurements of whatever tablet you should go for, that will help a lot. I had my tablet without a hood and it was very painful to almost useless in sunlight, even with maximum brightness setting.

do you recall which year model Tab A?
I just got this years model Tab A 8 that has 2gb of RAM, where I am led to believe the previous models were 1.5. Would you be able to confirm please?
