First, sorry for your loss.

Wow....your Spark must have been going with the wind or something, or something else was seriously wrong.  It doesn't show you were in Sport mode, yet your Spark was going 46 mph if I'm looking at the logs correctly!  I see all the Speed errors in the log, did those show on your screen as well?

Thanks man. Yeah, definitely didn't set it to Sport mode myself, in fact I was being intentionally careful during take off making making sure I had no interference and a good GPS fix and then even manually updated the home point to be sure. There was some wind, but it wasn't strong and not gusty - definitely no where near strong enough to impact the flight in such a way. I didn't see the speed errors on screen in the app.

I have thus grounded my spark as well. I refuse to fly with Wi-Fi as it is an unreliable connection.

Please dji make otg support this threat will solve please listen to your customer I know some user WiFi is working well but most of the user having these problems. Please make DJI mavic have gesture control as spark and I will buy one no need to worry about mavic sale the reason that I am not buy DJI mavic because the gesture control is really awesome I believe disabling OTG in spark will not increase mavic sale thanks

hi guys today i test new FW 900 with old APP IOS 4.1.17

I live in Italy and this summer in the same area my maximum range was 280-300mt 2.4ghz 180-220mt 5.8ghz

today instead 2.4ghz 600-650mt and 5.8ghz 500-550mt

these tests were performed with the original app and stock antennas!

after I tested with Argtek antennas in 2.4ghz 1400mt CE MODE.

these tests were carried out on private property.

I just did the firmware update and my OTG cable works fine no issues

With my Crystalsky and 5.8Ghz in CE i was able to reach 450m in a urban area and still had some range left.
I have a lot more "video signal weak" than the last firmware but the video link is way more stable so I don't know if this video warning needs a tweak or what.
Fact is the range has more than doubled for me, still OTG support will be more than welcome when it is ready.

i use Wifi,because OTG don't help in my situation...

IOS wotk fine in 2.4ghz without OTG..only Android don't work in 2.4ghz WI-FI mode.

i speak for Smartphone---> RC---> Spark

@dji, after updating to new version  my spark will not lock on GPS. I get maximum 10 but when flying it looses connection and goes to atti. Flying on open field. Never had this before but this is now what I get after update. Help!

Did you do Spark firmware update, Remote controller update and batteries also, or just dji go 4 app?

you must update the SPARK firmware repeatedly if you have two batteries or more....

very disappointed (android ).loading open app very slow . OTG not work ,no  indicator battery , no indicator satelite if using OTG .

do you know why ?

Does anybody already received the iOS update?

Updated spark. Have only one battery. Have android phone, so no new app...

OTG not supported for Spark, only wifi (DJi information, more threads about this here in forum.), so with otg connected some readings are not available.

Sorry i can't help you further because i am not familiar with Android phone app, i'm sure there are other forum members that can give you good tips!If you have the RC, did you do the firmware upgrade for it also?

Truth to be said! This is a firmware that actually downgrades Spark.

I suppose most of the problems occur while you are linked to the DJI web server during the take off....Somehow the programming doesn't  function correctly to respect the no fly zones,fly zones  and other restrictions put forth by DJI
That's the main reason why third party softwares help out in removing such restrictions for a expensive product like SPARK

No support for OTG cable!!
Sport mode stays as before...

Did something change with selfie mode? I was using the spark this morning, with the "take photo" gesture and it didn't seem to be working. The front LEDs used to blink when it took a picture, but today I saw no LED response. However, when I checked the SD card there were a few pictures of me making the "take photo" gesture. Seems odd that the behaviour would have changed.

The DJI Go 4 App should be able to provide you the last known longitude/latitude coordinates.  Even if it's not transmitting a signal any longer you should be able to get within a 6 foot radius of where the SPARK went down.  As long as you can physically get to the SPARK and turn GPS on your phone you should be able to find it.  I lost mine a while back in thick brush, weeds, over a creek bed, through barb wire fence and was still able to locate it.  Good Luck!  Hope you find it.....

i havent flown my spark for awhile but managed to do updates over the weekend. i too had the "low image reception" with me using a CABLE (OTG).  

I just thought since, it has been awhile since ive used my Spark, i may have forgotten the proper connection sequence when using a cable.

Yes I do have the same message about image transmission being weak (latest FW, iPhone SE, OTG to RC, 2.4) , but connection is still much better than with WiFi.

I have the same problem (or message), but i think was after de update de dji go4 to the v 4.1.20, with the 4.1.18 don't had the problem...

I have been reading this thread for days and I was just wondering. Has DJI put out some kind of official statement about supporting or not supporting OTG? I am new to these drones and it seems like the updates are a bit dicey and change things that are not expected. I have not been able to get gestures to work after much trying and today I read that others have had the same issue after the most recent update. I have seen where people have said that DJI states that they don;t support OTG on Spark but I have not been able to find that. That being said I also cannot find in my instructions where it says that OTG cable is a supported way to connect controller so maybe they never intended that it work even though it did for a while and just fully disabled it.

I just flew 700m over an empty field. It went fine. No video or controller break ups. Although I saw the transmition signal indicator was red stating that the signal was getting weak.. Anyhow I am not comfortable flying this tiny thing so far away from me. But this was just a quick test. I didn't want to push it further until I lost signal. This is CE mode and I set the Wi-Fi to 2,4 GHZ. Using iPhone 7. Norway

I have read reports coming from a local spark group that there are a couple of users getting intermittent hover behavior upon upgrading to v900 firmware.  I experienced this once.  Anybody with similar incidents?

Seems to go up and down at launch.

After updating my Spark to the latest firmware (.900), I started losing video signal at around 300 meters distance using wifi (line of sight, no obstructions). Prior to this (firmware .700), I could easily fly to around 500 meters (also line of sight, no obstructions) using the same DJI Go 4 app version 4.1.20, IOS 11.2.1 on iPhone 6S Plus and 5G wifi channel without any issues.

I was very satisfied with version .700 so I am downgrading back to it. I am glad DJI rprovided that option in DJI Assistant.
