Is anyone having issues with ProRes exports out of CineLight on macOS 10.13? It kicks out the DNG sequence just fine.

My 10.12 machine is still fine.

Hi Derek, just to clarify, do you mean the DNG cannot be exported in order? Or the DNG was broken? More details would be appreciated to make sure we are on the same page, thank you.

Thanks Mindy, don't know why I didn't get an alert to this thread until today...
The Canvas window shows a proper image but the Timeline does not. Any variety of ProRes results in the same incorrect color as the Timeline.

What is the advantage of Pro Res over DNG?

File size drops as you compress down from raw/DNG. In my example a standard ProRes422 is 2.17 GB and the DNG folder is 13.92GB. Some NLE's have a hard time with raw workflows and default to ProRes for the working files.

What about image quality?

I'll catch heck for saying this from the purists...but...Frame by Frame, if you aren't changing dimensions, it's really hard to see a difference. The big loss is how much you can push the image around in post. White balance, dynamic range etc. Raw is everything that sensor can capture. ProRes/H.264(5) starts to bake stuff in slowly to compress the file size. It's really just the combo or experience/processing power/hard drive space that can determine how to handle your workflow.

OK, Cinelight also provides a conversion to TIFF, which I always found to provide even heavier files, which I guess makes no sense. I personally feel since I am currently not getting paid, working on raw is more logical to get the most out of my grading work, even if I'm still just learning
